I've tried multiple flat irons in the past, Conair, the Brazilian something or other, one of those wet-to-straight flat irons, and a couple of CHIs. I thought CHI was the best, but it still takes multiple passes to work, and it still doesn't give the perfect salon straightening that I want, even at the max temp of 410° (and a high price!). OMG! THIS flat iron however, does exactly what it's supposed to in ONE PASS! Plus, the curved plate edges are better than other ones with a "squared" edge, so it doesn't leave a crease in your hair. Holy ****, I have never been so giddy about a flat iron purchase, but I am ecstatic I bought this one because it works just as well, if not better than what they've used on my hair in a salon. Obviously, you'll need a heat protectant product so you don't fry your hair, because this iron definitely gets hot enough at 450°. For the price, this is definitely an amazing deal (Oh, and I bought it at Sally's for a better price than here).

It works well but for this price, I think it should feel a little sturdier. it feels a little loose where the two sides connect.

I’ve had this straightener for less than 2 months and it’s worthless (I bought this exact model directly from a store). It makes my hair staticky when I straighten it and when I try to curl it, it doesn’t actually curl the whole strand. In the less than 2 months that I’ve had it, it’s fallen apart. Don’t waste your money!

Purchased this iron and I love it but I can't give it 5 stars because it has the automatic shut off feature which I hate because it has shut off on me WHEN IN USE!!

This was great for the time it lasted. Mine is 3 years old, but only used abut 10 times a year. Today, the cord melted and it was plugged in for about 1 minute.
