Q: Can you use a reusable filter for this machine, and if so what brand/size is recommended?

Yes. I’ve been using one of these for over a year. Quell Reusable Coffee Filter for Kalita 185 The fit isn’t perfect, but it works and the coffee tastes better. I’m usually brewing 2-3 cups (15oz).

Q: how tall is this coffee pot?

It's about 14" tall, 7" wide, and 11" deep. The lid to access the filter and coffee grounds is on the top of the unit and lifts straight up so you will need to account for that, too. I can't find how tall the lid is, but I would guess that it's probably an additional 6" when open.

Q: What are the dimensions of the appliance?

6 7/8 inches wide, 10 1/2 inches deep, 13 1/2 inches high It makes good coffee very quickly.
