It Worked
For $30- and a couple hours work, I saved spending ~$400- on a new regulator. Most of that time was dropping and reinstalling the generator. The rebuild wasn't difficult, as long as you follow the instruction carefully (download and print instruction from the IMPCO web site). Actual rebuild took 45 - 60 minutes; and that included cleaning time of the gummed up metal parts. The kit replaces all rubber/plastic parts, you need to clean the metal parts (I used tooth brush and mineral spirits).
