This is a large cutting board. I have a few of these. All of them promised to be large. This one is the largest out of all of them. This has caused me to believe that this would be better classified in the extra large category. You can tell simply by smelling this that is pure wood! Up close, it has that wonderful earthly smell that only a pure wood provides.SPECS: The detailing that went into this cutting board is something I appreciate. There is nothing rounded about this board. It is very flat. This is very different than the other bamboo cutting boards that I have. All of them at least some rounded off aspect to it. This completely flat surface makes it so much easier to work with. The way that this was put together makes this very pleasing to look at. It is certainly a great item that is able to be used as a cheese tray or other items during a party. The handle makes it very easy to hold and use.USE: The proper care is always needed with bamboo cutting boards. When I first receive a cutting board, I always treat it first. After you have cleaned and dried your board, place it on top of a towel. Next, pour some oil on the board. I prefer to use mineral oil. You can find this at almost any grocery story. It generally takes 4-5 tablespoons to cover both sides and edges. Finally, allow it to air dry allowing plenty of air to get to both sides. It's also a good idea to do regular maintenance on your boards as well.Overall, I am very pleased by this cutting board. It is a thick board that is well crafted. The extra large size gives me plenty of room to work with. The juice groove ensures that no juices leave the board. I would recommend this board to anyone. I did receive this at a discounted rate for my honest and unbiased opinion, but that does not discredit the amazing results that I received.

This cutting board was purchased and received in April 2016. Immediately upon receipt the metal handle on the end of the board was a bit crooked and loose and had to be fixed. It was then rubbed down with mineral oil before it was used and once again after a month. I now find that it is cracking and separating on the end. It appears that the outside of the board is glued around a middle insert of some type of wood. Extremely disappointed and too late to return.

This was a purchase for my daughter when she moved into her new home. Perfect to protect countertops, goes with almost any decor and the size is easy to store and cleans up almost effortlessly.

The board was damaged before it even was used and the workmanship on the handle was very shoddy. Glad it was easy to return. Got one elsewhere for half the price and twice the quality.

It is everything the seller says it is and although I have only had it a few days, I love it!
