The pad against which the clip works looks like nylon. While this is long-wearing, there is not enough friction to hold a sheet from slipping out of the jaws. Except for this issue they work great. I'm going to try adding a rubber washer to them.

Item broke on first attempt, returned with no difficulty for a full refund.
I purchased these to use on my daughter's mattress to keep her sheets in place. The sheets are designed for a much deeper, thicker mattress. The first one I put on disintegrated in my hand. The metal clasp once opened, the hinge and gripper broke into three pieces. I made no attempt to put it back together or try any of the remaining three. I returned them to Amazon for a full refund with no difficulty.It was a gamble, when I was a child, we used a similar design on our sheets and I knew for the pricing they might be cheap. The lot we received were unusable, I would not bother to reorder. I'll shop around for a better quality.

work for purpose, but not very sturdy.
they work well for intended purpose. however, with repeated on-off that sheets get, one of the clips have failed.(however, the 3 remaining are doing the job fine...

Nice heavy duty version
It arrived quickly. I'd bought a white version from another Amazon source and it took months to arrive. I gave the black version as a gift but looking at it, I'm confident it's the better product. It had nice metal adjuster loops; and its elastic was wider and sturdier. The white version had plastic adjuster straps that I hope will last (hadn't expected plastic there based on that product's description). Also, the white version's elastic is narrower and not as thick. It's working fine so far, however.

These are too small to strap across the bed and are meant only for the corners. Perhaps that is as advertised, but when the product is named "bed sheet straps" it was our expectation that they would fit across the mattress.

One strap broke first time I installed.

No more fighting with the bed sheet every morning!
After receiving these straps i no longer have to fight with the fitted sheet anymore! I have an adjustable bed base and we adjust the bed several times a day from flat to in the sitting up position and the sheets still stay in place!
