Will this fan work in the dark?

Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, this will work in the dark as well as the light. However, if the outlet this is plugged into is connected to the light switch, then turning the switch off will turn the fan off. If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact our consumer relations team by emailing us at SocialSupport@HelenofTroy.com. Thank you.

can it blend pancake batter?

This will not blend pancake batter, especially as submerging this unit will permanently damage it. If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact our consumer relations team by emailing us at SocialSupport@HelenofTroy.com. Thank you.

If I set my worries down in front of this fan will it blow them all away?

Not only is this fan capable of blowing all your worries away! It will completely erase all your thoughts!...Now isn't that lovely?

I want a fan for white noise. Is this loud enough to drown out footsteps and voices?

Thank you for your inquiry. This unit is very quiet and will not make white noise. If you want a unit to make noise while you are sleeping, we advise the HTF400, Honeywell Dreamweaver fan. This unit makes what is called "Pink Noise", a lower and more natural tone than white noise to help with sleep. If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact our consumer relations team by emailing us at SocialSupport@HelenofTroy.com. Thank you.
