The things people can get away with in India...I bought these shoes before moving to Canada for studies. I figured I was getting a good deal for the same shoes that cost a lot more in Canada and are an absolute must for the crazy low temperatures.I wore the shoes yesterday through some light rains and was shocked to see wet socks on returning home. It was hardly two hours and I never stepped into any puddles. The shoes are NOT waterproof.On closer inspection I noticed the text on the shoes says 'Outdoor Pereormance'. The shoes are fake and I got ripped off by Amazon's very own warehouse.You've been warned.

They're a bit scuffed up after a year's use, but the soles are holding up fine and they're still as waterproof as the day I got them.

Needed to replace my 20+ year old pair of Timberland hiking boots. The tread is pratically worn down to nothing. They were the best pair of boots I've ever owned. This pair looks very similar to my old pair. I normally wear a 7.5 men's boot. But for some reason that size was more expensive, so I ordered an 8-wide. Received, but too large. Returned and got a size 7-wide, as that is the same size of my old pair. Fit great, could have used a bit more arch support, but doable. Went camping right after receiving, but the boots seem to break in just fine. If this pair lasts half as long as my old pair, I'll be really happy. Would reccommend this style of Timberland hiking boots.

Update to my original review: Gave them a good work out on a recent trip to Iceland. I walked on rocky, mountainous terrain as well as glacial ice, snow, and wet. I also wore them for casual sight-seeing. Perfect all-around boot with excellent comfort, water-proofing, and traction (did wear crampons on the ice).Might suggest using two sock pairs or thick socks for added comfort on rougher terrain. Great boot and they still look good.Original Review:Been wearing them only a couple of days now so I can't speak to durability, but they are head and shoulders above anything I tried on in the stores in terms of quality and comfort for the price. They look well made, are stylishly rugged, and reasonably lightweight for a boot like this. I would expect them to hold up well.They fit me true to size and keep my feet comfortably warm, but not hot. I found nothing quirky like squeaks, chaffing, weird postioning and so forth - just a natural and comfortable fit. Taking them on a hike soon and will update if any issues, but so far very pleased with this purchase.

Well built, comfortable, durable, doesn't scuff as easy as other leather I've owned, lightweight, easy to lace. So far so good!!!
