Bought it for a friend after reading a copy from the public library
I bought a copy for an alpha friend after borrowing it from the library and making my boyfriend read it too. It's helpful to think of alpha/beta as a balance (like ying/yang of Eastern philosophy) instead of attaching value or judgement to one side or the other. I also like how the book gives a simple little quiz to help assess the readers' alpha/beta quotient; putting a quantitative number to a character quality appeals to the med/high-Alpha side of me.

The author's terminology of "alpha," "beta," and "omega" people may be rather simplistic, but it is helpful in delivering her message. This is a perspective that I have been looking for, but have found little information on from reliable sources. I value this book and consider it to have some validity because the author gives her advice from the perspective of an expert with what seems like a large amount of experience counseling motivated, accomplished women on their romantic lives. This is no exact science, but I can appreciate the experience of a professional. I would say the following: Skim the book, extract the general messages, and evaluate whether it has meaning for your own experience.

PSYCHOLOGY VS. GOD
I am very particular of reading books that deals with the human nature of men and women. But, Dr. Rhodes digs deeply into the mind. We know that the basis of every action that is wrong or right has to do with SIN. But, like with all people. Sin sometimes overrule God. And, from it comes DISEASE of the body and mind that began with the first man and woman. Adam and Eve in the Garden with the Devil.

Pretty interesting read...but I can summarize this book in a paragraph
I bought this book after my dad had forwarded me an article on the WSJ regarding Alpha women "marrying down". It was overall an interesting read, certainly addresses the issue of high-earning, powerhouse alpha females of this decade - the struggle of being the top dog in her career, and how that translates into relationships and so forth.Main Takeaways:1) Alpha/Beta qualities are on a continuum - it's a spectrum of qualities2) High alpha matches better with a beta - who can be supportive of alpha ambitions without having a power struggleFun read - but it's not a book I would read over and over again.

Helps even "on the job"
As a male, I usually do not read books on relationships. But my wife brought the book home and I found myself intrigued. I was surprised to find myself fascinated by Rhodes and Schneider's portrayal of the Alpha woman. As a businessman, I now understand the new generations of confident women who are making their way in the workplace. It has given me surprising insights into the women I work with on a daily basis.

Good information for all women
It might even be helpful for men. It helps you to identify where you are on the Alpha-Beta scale, and to figure out what kind of partner might be a good match. It does not judge one over the other, but it does say to watch out for the "omega" who it does not tell you much about. Since I think I've known a few of those types, I'd like to have had more detail.

Wisdom for young women today
I like this book because it is warm, helpful, easy-to-understand and chock full of good, smart advice for professional women today. Women don't have to choose between career and family. They just have to be wise. Dr. Rhodes has helped many young career women make choices that bring happiness to themselves, their spouses and children.

The alpha woman
My daughter's loved it. It helps her to do a better match. However she would have loved to have a deeper understanding on the alpha woman itself.

Not so good after all
Not as good as I expected. Lots of platitudes and it echoes other books written about relationships. The test does not convince me

great
Great book, easy to read and very trendy these days. It really gave me tools to understand the alpha beta sides that we can have.
