Review: A+ Product Quality and Safe Delivery - This unit works wonderfully well. The name brand optics create a wonderfully detailed image. It runs on 8 AA batteries or an extra-purchase wall wart power adapter. It is easy to setup and configure for motion detection and thrifty with battery consumption. I would buy this again without hesitation.
Review: Great Camera for the price - I was looking for a no glow IR camera that was invisible to the human eye and found this camera after quite a bit of research. Most of the no glow cameras were twice or three times as much so I was a bit apprehensive. But, after some testing I'm very happy with it. I set it up beside another proven camera and it triggered every time. Most images were center frame. Pros: 1) The price is great. 2) The audio was excellent! Way beyond any of my other cameras and even distant or low volume sounds were captured by the camera. 3) Exposure is adjustable for different locations and will auto adjust mid video if necessary. Medium setting seems to work the best for me so far. 4)LED's invisible to the human eye. This camera is totally undetectable at night. No red glow visible at all. 5) Clear night time photos and video. 6) I like that it uses full size SD cards so I'm not fumbling around with a tiny micro card in the woods. I will say that it needs a pretty fast SD card though. I used a class 10 card first and noticed some stutter in the audio. I switched to a faster A2 card and no more problems. I think many of the negative reviews are from people who are using slower or incompatible cards. If you are getting partial photos or weird video/audio artifacts switch to a quality card with a transfer speed over 30mb like a U3, V30 or faster if you plan to do a lot of video. Sandisk has never let me down. Just because a card works in one make of camera doesn't mean it'll work in all of them. Cons: 1) Bit rate of the video reveals it is on par with 1280x720p even though the video settings allow for 1920x1080p video. Not uncommon but disappointing. In all fairness, the description says 1296p not 1920p (though it lists 1920x1080p setting in the description) It is typical for a camera in this price range and not a deal breaker. 2) My biggest gripe seems like the most trivial but it is the on/off switch. Every other camera has "off" all the way left and "on" all the way right. "Settings" is in the center position. They are easy to turn on and off with gloves because you can just push it all the way over. THIS camera has "On" in the center position, which means I'm going to have to remove gloves and be careful to only slide the switch one click every time I turn it on. That is going to be irritating every time I check the camera.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What is the difference between the a3 and a3s besides the improved 24mp? i use my a3 for vid eo only, is there an upgrade in video with a3s ?**
A: The A3S can produce videos at higher resolution. For common viewing purpose, the A3 video is also excellent enough.

Their more important features are as follows:
Both features automatically adjustable infrared illumination and dynamic exposure technologies. Its basic principle is to automatically sense the distance of the animal, and dynamically adjust illumination efficiency of infrared LEDs according to the distance. When the animal is far away, the illumination power is increased to see more clearly; on the contrary, when the animal is closer, the illumination power is reduced to avoid over-exposure. In short, compared with fixed exposure technology, dynamic exposure can avoid over-exposure and over-darkness, and obtain a clearer and recognizable image.

**Q: What steel security box can I purchase for this unit????**
A: The security box for GardePro A3 or A3S: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BHQY63RX
Thank you!

**Q: What is the field of view of the camera lens?**
A: Thank you for your question. It is 63°, perfect to watch animals from a distance.

**Q: What are the options for length of videos?**
A: From 3 seconds to 5 minutes. But night video limits to a maximum of 30 seconds to conserve batteries power.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Off-brand cam that rivals some of the well known names.
*by G***S on May 15, 2025*

Having used many different cam brands over the years, I've found this one to be reasonably reliable. It's a departure from the big named brands, but the reliability/quality of this cam appears to be on par with the best of those others who've been around for a while. It does not have the cellular option. The setup menu has a lot of options to choose from and is pretty much self intuitive. The onboard display works well for viewing pics/videos as well as setting up the cam. Daytime photos are good (ignore the hype of uber high mega-pixel image ratings as the human eye can't really detect much difference in photo quality beyond 8 mega pixel- only if you want to enlarge portions of an image does high pixel count become a factor). Night time photos and videos are decent; but due to the IR emission of No-Glo LEDs (940nm), you won't get the background illumination that you would if "Low-Glo" LEDs (850nm) were used (~30% reduction in background lighting using No-Glo LEDs). Still, unless the object is at the far end of the detection range, night time photos are still decent. The side PIR sensors can be deactivated if desired, which is handy if you find that your videos are beginning without any activity appearing in the field of view (a consideration if you are doing a photo burst, with nothing appearing in a couple of the photos). I keep mine ON as there are often times that a critter will trigger a cam well after it's come into the field of view, so you miss a bit of movement unless you can start that video a bit ahead of time! If you are taking a LOT of night time videos, you'll burn through batteries- so I would highly recommend employing an external battery source with the cam, in addition to the internal set of 8 (there are external lithium rechargeable battery packs available that are compact in size, as are chew-proof cords for those squirrels that pose a threat). The camo print on the shell will help conceal the outline of the cam against a background of brush or bark (unlike some of the others who use a lighter gray or tan shell without break-up patterns). It uses a standard SD card which you can format while mounted in the cam or via your laptop. Side note: Regardless of the type of LED lighting chosen, one option is to mount the cam ~8 ft up a tree using a screw-in mount so that you can angle it in any orientation desired. Mature bucks tend to not detect the low-glow flash and any scent left on the cam (or its strap) will not be detected. Plus, trespassers will not readily see the cam if it's out of their normal line of sight, which is typically down or straight ahead. For this purpose, I carry 1 strap-on step section and use a harness that will allow me to lean back.
