Reusable Ice Pack - 14x6 Hot/Cold Gel for Shoulder, Knee, Back, Ankle Relief

So I know they want you to buy lots of products in preparation for your upcoming hip replacement surgery, right?? Aside from the standard "must haves" like a walker & cane which you definitely need, you have the option to purchase miscellaneous items like "grabbers", "sockers", "loopers" and other assorted crazy inventions intended to "assist" you post-op.Puleeeze. I don't think I could EVER use one of those "sockers" to put on my socks! And the "loopers"? What? To help me lift my leg onto the bed? I just pulled on the leg of my sweats if I needed a little help...or there's always a bathrobe belt, right? I never needed a "grabber" because nothing was out of my reach, but these products all seemed like $$$ grabbers to me.I listened carefully to the pre-surgical zoom where they spoke about the importance of the ice regimen...FOR A BETTER POST-OP EXPERIENCE AND HEALING THE DOX RECOMMEND 20 ON 20 OFF ICE.I put ICE PACKS as the ONLY OTHER "MUST HAVE" ON MY LIST.I shopped and read & shopped & read more. Same old drill, and narrowed it down to this one EVEN THOUGH some said it didn't stay cold.To that I say, "WHAT???!!!", (now that I have been using mine for 3 weeks straight) "Are you using YOURS outside on your veranda in Florida during a heatwave in August while you're laying on top of it??"SMH, sometimes it's just so difficult to believe how people have such different results.This product is AWESOME! I had my surgery Nov. 22, 2021 so now I'm just shy of 3 weeks post op. I was REALLY good about the ice for the entire first week. I loved that I could loop one strap over the handle of the walker and still have one free hand to carry a cup of coffee! (Otherwise I don't bother with the Velcro straps.) The surface area is the PERFECT size for hip surgery and then not TOO big to have to put into your freezer, either! It's about the size of a box of Ravioli's or I guess a Stouffer's French Bread Pizza box, maybe. EZ FREEZER FIT AND PERFECT FOR HIP!As a fact, and inasmuch as I religiously did the 20 minutes on 20 minutes off for 7 straight days I can tell you the pack consistently stays cold enough to be therapeutic for at least two hours. I put it inside of a pillow case and lay it atop my hip. It softens as the minutes tick away and I shift it and turn it over a bit as necessary. Now, although I'm not using it AS frequently 3 weeks in, I'm still using it at LEAST two hours after I get done with my daily PT exercises... and whenever I feel those muscles start to stiffen. For me, THIS GEL PACK is as much of a "MUST HAVE" as my walker and cane were...Even when I don't need THEM anymore I'M STILL GONNA LOVE MY GEL PACK!!

I've actually had this setting around in the box for over a year bc I bought it for my Dad but my mom didn't think he needed it. So until I fell and got hurt at work last week I didn't really need it. I've yet to heat it up but as a cold pack it works wonderful. It says it only stays cold for about 60 mins but I put it on before heading to the ER and it lasted the 3 hours I was there. Staying at minimum cool enough to give some relief to my injury while I waited to be seen. Heck it's winter where I'm at right now and I took it to work in my cold car and left it there until I needed it and it still stayed cold 6 hours later. Easy to use but I find i the strap ends Velcro to any part of the pouch it goes in if I don't fold it over the strap to stick it to itself while I wrap around where I need it which can get annoying. I wish it was big enough to reach from my foot to my knee but the price is reasonable enough that getting another one would be worth it. 10/10 would recommend.

The gel pack seems good quality. I ordered the gel pack plus the fabric sleeve it fits into. But I received only the gel pack.I was charged 13.95 and if you purchased just the gel pack the cost was around three dollars less.

This ice pack is amazing! I suffer from chronic back pain such as severe canal stenosis and degenerative disc disease etc. I go through times where my pain comes on so bad that it prevents me from being able to barely walk. The pain is agonizing and crippling. So I ordered this ice pack because I was told by my chiropractor to keep icing it but I didn't have an ice pack. Well that was the best choice for me! This ice packs gets super cold and stays cold for 1 1/2 to 2 hours and it comes with a pouch that secures it to your back or other pain spot so that you can walk around without have to sit still in one spot! This ice pack relieved my pain so well and I was super impressed with it! I can't be without it now! I highly recommend this particular ice pack as it is very good quality, it is extra large to cover the whole bottom of my back and it stays super cold, bringing significant relief!

I recently broke my ankle and the swelling has been in different "odd" places where putting a cold compress just doesn't work. I have been going to physical therapy and they used this compress iced. It wraps around my ankle and has a velcro strap which keeps it in place. It stays cold for over an hour and re-freezes pretty quickly. My only "Ahem"....about this product.....it's SUPER, SUPER cold when you take it out of the freezer - I have had to sew my own little cloth holder to put this compress into so I don't ice burn my skin. I cheated and just used an old pillow cloth. If this had a cloth attachment - this thing would be INCREDIBLE. It's comprised of three different sections so it bends nicely. Really - if you do sports or have an injury that demands icing - you can't go wrong with choosing this item. Worth the money.
