Excellent introductory printer for The Tinkerer.
I am very happy with my Ender 3 V3 SE. It is my first 3D printer, having some experience with them in the past. This printer performed to an excellent standard and required very little setup out of the box. Unfortunately, the SE does not talk to the Creality Print software, and does not have WiFi or Ethernet network connectivity. Basic functionality is through physically moving an SD-card from your computer to the SD slot on the printer. It has a USB-C outlet that can be connected with a data cable to a computer and communicated serially with COM ports and the CH340 communications driver, it’s not complicated, but it’s not a straightforward process. After about 50 prints or so, the bearings on the Y axis optical rails came loose and resulted in a bed wobble that could register on the Richter scale. I upgraded the Y axis and X axis to linear guide rails, I do believe these upgrades are wholly necessary if you wish to print at the printers upper accelerations for any extended period of use. Changing filaments is a breeze with the direct drive extruder, I have printed in PLA, TPU, and PETG all with very good quality, adjusting settings along the way. If you enjoy tinkering, and learning how FDM printers work, how slicers and gcode work, and want a less expensive start to the hobby I would highly recommend the SE printer. I have also heard good things about its sister the KE.

Great budget Printer
It’s not the lowest end or the highest end printer, but for the price it’s a great beginner machine which balances performance with quick printing and ease of use. I’ve heard people say they’ve had issues with bed adhesion, but I haven’t encountered that. I will say a worthwhile upgrade is either the nebula or sonic pad which unlocks some features and makes the whole process easier, but as far as the stock screen it gets the job done and is leagues better than the original ender 3. It’s incredibly intuitive with its auto leveling and setup I can’t recommend it enough especially if you’re considering an original ender 3 this is so much better.

What a waste of time and money
This is supposed to be an easy, intro level printer and I have had nothing but problems. First I got the "nozzle temperature too low" error right out of the box. Amazon sent a replacement and it started out good. The set-up instructions are very lacking and had to do hours of searches to figure it out. After printing 1 thing, the screen is blue and will not reset. Instructions say to update the firmware but good luck with that. STill not working. There are 2 SD slots, one in the base of the machine and one on the screen. Not sure which one to use but no mico-sd card came with the machine. Will be returning again.... What a waste of time and money.

Great first printer
Assembly is easyif youre paying attetion. DO NOT put the cable over the top bar! Also, the power switch in the back (opposite the screen at the front) is set to 240 volts and that causes the printer to randomly shut off during your bed leveling or printing. If anyone doesnt know heres a basic order to get started. Assembly ( just a few parts, easier than ikea desks) load filament level the bed ( look at the screens home and youll see it, push knob down to select) go to thingiverse and acquire a .stl file ( aka download a simple object ) open a slicing software, Creality has a free one but its just ok but, its fast and gets you printing quickly. Slice the .stl into gcode, move the gcode onto the SD card, names have to be 8 letters max. (.stl is an image or design people can see and work with, gcode is wacky computer talk that tells the print motors to move up 3 clicks then over 72 and so on) insert the sd card into the printer on its left side on the screen of the printer go to print and select your file you can have calibration on or off, ask Jesus for guidance then start the print. Do not observe the 3d printing up close, the bed moves very quickly forward and backward and might get ya, ahh now youre glad youre walking with the Lord. Lastly, the machine estimates how much time is left, that number starts at a high estimate and can come down. There are alot of ways to improve print time. There is also a lot of settings to tinker with tp get good prints. Also, there are different materials called filaments, some print nice some print tricky. Start with 1.75mm pla (other option is 2.85mm dont use that) and your included 0.4mm brass nozzle. There is a lot of fun in 3D printing, please learn and help others :)

It does work.
For the price it was worth it. Assembly was relatively simple. It did require a little work to get the correct settings to produce decent quality. Issues I noticed. Nozzle height and temperature settings required frequent adjustment. I did have to disassemble the extruder to resolve a horribly failed print. It made it through 4 rolls of filament before running into serious issues.

Would recommend for a beginner.
Great beginner printer for someone just starting out, decently priced as well. People complain about this printer and I'm not saying that some did not receive a bad one but it was a big learning curve for me to learn how to properly set it up and I do not mean assemble. You need to fine tune the settings so you get good prints. I have had this printer 20 month and it has been a beast, no major issues. I have changed the nozzle only once and that was when I started having some printing issues, not the machines fault it was due to me doing a lot of printing.

I had bought is printer but as soon as I set it up it started to smoke and pop. I realise now that the voltage swich on the back of the printer was set to 140 volts instead of the austra 240 volts. REMEMBER TO CHANGE THE VOLTS.

I purchased this as part of a project to build a device for cleaning mechanical watch parts which is in the time of writing this view is still work in progress. The person who supplied the license to build the machine advised that most people who decide to build the project will normally buy a 3D printer rather than pay 3rd party company who could charge up to and over £1000 . After doing so much research I'm proud to say I'm really pleased with the Ender 3 V3 SE, please note this is an entry level 3D printer and it doesn't offer as much fancy features as some others do within the kinda same price or expensive bracket but what it does do it does really, really well. There is a learning curve and you need to have a lot of patience because it will frustrate the pants off you but Creality has a fantastic community and once you get the hang of things you'll be up all night (yes depending on what you are printing things can take hours). Please note if you are just starting out try to get as much information as possible something which is so easy these days with the internet and don't be afraid to get in touch with Creality and ask as many questions as possible. Depending on what you would like to print if it's decorative and/or functional there's various types of material and some are suited more than others and this printer can only print a couple of them. All-in-All would I recommend this... YES 100% If you like things technical and don't mind a learning curve with the printer plus the software needed to process 3D models before they can be converted and sent to a 3D printer, also there's so many well known websites and forums your you to download other peoples designs then this is a great way to start 3D printing. BE WARNED ONCE STARTED YOU'LL BE DRAWN INTO THE AMAZING WORLD OF 3D PRINTING!
