This machine really gets carpets clean!
I never review products, and for that reason I felt it necessary to tell everyone how impressed I am with this carpet cleaner. I've owned my own machine for 15+ years until it recently died. I've also hired companies over the years to clean for me when I didn't have time to do it myself or when I thought my old machine couldn't do as good a job. I wish I knew about this Bissell long time ago because it would have saved me a lot of money. I have a small house so our carpets get walked on a lot. This machine got my high traffic areas clean - something even the big name companies couldn't do! And it leaves it MUCH drier than both my old machine and professional companies. Now - I've realized a few things after using it a few times. 1) It can leak a little dirty water now and then as you're cleaning - I can't find a leak, but it's dirty water, so I think it's just coming off the brush area. It's nothing that going back over the spot won't clean up, but I'm being honest here, so I feel I should let you know. (That's why I gave it a 4 on deep cleaning). 2) Be sure you really press down on the nozzle both top and bottom when you're putting it together each time after using it and cleaning it. I think that really helps the suction to work best and prevents leaks. 3) This machine works SO WELL that you might end up with a striped carpet if you don't overlap your cleaning well. That's what happened to me the first time - I had great cleaned areas and areas I missed because I didn't realize you need to overlap strokes more than my old machine. But, I re-cleaned the areas a 2nd time, overlapping more and going in more than one direction over the area, and it fixed the problem. My 11 year old carpet - light beige - looks amazing! 4) Take your time and go over an area a lot. This is not the kind of machine that you just go over an area once and you're done. To make it work it's best, scrub over an area several times and then go really SLOW pulling backward to suck the most water up. If you go over each area a lot, you'll have relatively dry carpets that will completely dry in a few hours with a fan running. I just cleaned my carpets on a cold January day and they were completely dry in about 5 hours (the old machine and professional companies would have taken overnight to dry). I hope this helps someone! No machine is perfect - but for the money, this one really does an outstanding job, it's light and easy to use, and easy to put together and clean.

Several years in and still works like new!
I was looking for something else, and this came up in my results under “purchased in 2022”. It’s almost 2026 now, and I couldn’t believe I haven’t reviewed this item yet. I have four kids, a dog and two cats. Between all of them, we are in perpetual accidental mess mode. I even just used this machine this morning! Absolutely love it!! Super easy to use, easy to maintain and clean out, if you want to use the carpet cleaner additives they are not at all pricey and work great. It’s very powerful and for simple messes some plain hot water in the tank will do just the trick. I’ve had spot bots, shop vacs and handheld electric cleaners for years. This is THE upgrade!! Simple and effective!! Weirdly calming to watch the stain disappear right in front of you. 10/10!

Good clean, lightweight, but tiny tank
Compact compared to my old carpet cleaner, does a good job, but it doesnt hold much solution so I find myself constantly refilling it. The only real improvement I wish they had was a bigger solution tank... that thing is tiny. For a single bedroom (not the primary bedroom, just a kids room) I used around 3 tanks for a heavier clean. Maybe a quick clean would have been 1.5-2 tanks... but on my old carpet cleaner I could get 2 rooms on a tank. That being said, this is super light and much more compact. I can carry this up and down the stairs with no problem. It also seems to clean just as well as my old carpet cleaner. Because its light weight, I can move it quicker so the movement speed somewhat makes up for refill time. I would say this is a worthwhile investment as long as you are ok with refilling and understand you won't be cleaning a full house with this.

Amazing, lightweight, great size
This cleaner is amazing! It seriously works extremely well and doesn't leave your carpet soaked. It's extremely lightweight, even with water in it and easy to clean and assemble. I bought the cleaner that's the same brand and it removed BLACK furniture paint from my carpet! The paint was dry and sat on the carpet for months and after the 1st use u can hardly see it. I've used this a few times in a couple rooms that were really bad from having 2 senior dogs and now a puppy. The color of the water 🤢 Nasty! It does leave like hair or whatever from the carpet but that isn't the fault of the shampooer. That would be the vacuum not getting everything. The trick to getting a better clean and less soaked carpet is to go SLOW. If you rush it, it can't do its job or suck up the water so take your time, it's worth it. The container that holds the dirty water only holds as much as the clean water canister does. So if you run out of cleaner and want to just suck up more water, it's not going to. I think it's a safety feature tbh. The only part I don't like is in the dirty water holder is a removable pump thing (I'm assuming that's what it is) and it's a pain in the butt to line up properly to get it back in. One clean water container was enough for my livingroom and hallway and I'm in an apt so it doesn't hold a ton but enough to get a room done before u refill. I've used a lot of shampooers over the years from commercial rentals to one's that put off heat and they've always been back breaking and don't do a good job so I'm very pleased! Your cleaner solution also makes a difference in your results as well.

For my surprise the voltage and plug is different from the European one. 120 volts! This is dangerous and high risk of fire and electrocution as it deals with water too!

Misleading and not complete product description. This is a 120 volt product and is no good in Europe. Why is for sale on Amazon Spain I do not know? It does not state it is 120 volts on the product description. Is dangerous to plug in and a Health and Safety risk. It does not say on the box I only found out when I read the small print on the instructions. It is only to be used in 120 volt counrties, North American device only......!!!!! I now have to return the product and waste my time doing so.

**Warning for EU/Non-US Buyers** I ordered this carpet cleaner and was surprised to receive a US version (120 V, US plug) instead of the EU 230 V version. This is important: it cannot be used directly in Belgium or other EU countries, even with a simple plug adapter. You would need a heavy step-down transformer (at least 1,200 W) to avoid damaging the motor. I couldn’t test the machine itself, but if you live outside the US, make sure you are getting the correct EU 230 V model with a Schuko plug. Otherwise, it will not work safely in your home.

I wish I could give this vacuum zero stars. Not only did it arrive late, but the real nightmare started the moment I plugged it in. Turns out it wasn't even compatible with my country’s voltage (no warning anywhere on the product page). Within seconds, it burned out the motor, scorched my carpet, and fried the electrical socket. I had to call an electrician, and now I’m stuck with a useless, burnt-out machine and a repair bill. This felt like an absolute scam. Do NOT buy this unless you want to throw money straight into a fire.
