Great value
The media could not be loaded. This extruded has the upgrades you read of, the shim and smooth pivot bolt. My Ender 3 hasn’t made the dreaded knock since installation. There’s certainly been an improvement in print quality too. I’ve lubricated the the needle roller bearings and mesh gears with a touch of silicon grease . Absolutely no metal grinding to be seen after 10hrs of use

Excelent
Worked much better then the original hot end, much more solid and print the quality perfect ! Just reduce the retraction to 0.3mm and adjust the Z offset and have fun! I’m very happy

Cheap as chips. Works with Voxlab Aquila
When my inbuilt extruder stopped working with my voxlab aquila I bought this one to repair it. Dual gear certainly works better and will help you print flexible filaments.I gave lower marks for installation as, although it's easy when you know how there was no guidance as to how to put it all together although I did eventually figure it out.Build quality is solid but make sure the teeth on both the driven and non driven gear touches the filament.I also got a fine powder of aluminum where the non driven gear was grinding on the rest of the extruder and had to remove that bit and insert one of the tiny includ washers in there to fix things. Also remember you MUST recalibrate esteps after installing this one as they'll be radically different. All in all once finally set up right with the appropriate extruder arm tension set it is very good value for money.

Great extruder
Still in use about a year after installing. Any issues where caused purely by my own stupidity. 10/10

Waste of money
Okay, so I bought this for my old Ender 3, which was working fine, but I wanted to show it some love. I didn’t need it, but a few people had told me an all metal hot end is the way to go for better prints on the ender, so I thought what the hell. The hot end is composed of several bags of bits, but no instructions on what to do with them. Not a problem for me as I have been tinkering with the Ender for many years now, but not very user friendly. The kit comes with hot end to heat sink screws, but you aren’t supposed to use them, and a heat sock which is poor compare to the standard ones as it doesn’t want to stay in place. After installing it per the write up on the ‘Product description’, I adjusted the settings and tried a print. First print got to about 70% before it hit feed issues and the dreaded stepper judder. Cleared the print, removed the nozzle, cleared the jam, started again. Same print as before, printed fine, thought everything was good.Did another print, jammed pretty much instantly. Again, nozzle off, clean out, feed through, try again. Jam. Rinse and repeat multiple times changing settings as directed in the ‘Product description’. Finally jams fully (not in the nozzle) and not amount of force or temperature will shift it.So, I have taken it back off, installed my old hot end with the same nozzle, and am happily printing again with my original settings. Also, you have to love this note in the product description. ‘We found that many customers do not know how to properly install the nozzle.’ Personally I think this is just an excuse for a poor product, as I have been tinkering with 3D printers for over 5 years now and have never had an issue like this. But, if you think this is an issue, then maybe put some instructions in the kit. Just a thought.

Too short: not a like-for-like hotend replacement.
I bought this hotend as an all-metal replacement for my Ender-3 MAX, having previously gone through a few other hotends. I'm not a fan of the offerings that require two tools to change nozzles (which IMO is a design flaw), so this one - which resembles the stock hotend - was very appealing.Unfortunately the hotend is too short to be a direct replacement, and I have no idea why. I couldn't use it even after modifying and reprinting the fan shroud, or using someone else's (dangerous) suggestion of lowering the heat break.Despite this major issue, there doesn't seem to be any problems with extrusion.

Difficult and eventually clogged
No instructions, in particular it’s essential you set the extruder motion up about 50% as the gear is so small. They won’t tell you that.Worse, there was a hot end clog and the extruder then go hot and jammed the exit hole with PLA - never seen before but I couldn’t clear it. Back to a creality.
