A must for every roti lover
Looks wise, it does add a royal touch to the kitchen. Chakla is really heavy and that's how a chakla should be, but at the same time they were cautious to maintain the weight of the chakla to be easy enough handle too on a daily basis. Though the bottom surface is roughned for better grip, the weight of the chakla is what makes the roti maker stay in one place. In my opinion, roughing out the bottom isn't that big of a deal. Belan was a slight disappointment. There were few crannies. But I guess it would still make beautiful rotis in the hands of the right cook. Packaging too was very simple and neat. It was just pieces of thermocol, but it's definitely worthy of a praise for the thoughts that have been put into on the way it was used.

My mom wanted to replace our old chakla with a new one. I explored options on Amazon and saw this product. At first, I wasn't sure if it was a good idea to purchase a marble roti maker online, but I wanted to give it a try since the product wasn't expensive. Indeed, it was a good decision to buy this product. The rolling pin (belan) is small (hence rated 4 stars), but not a big deal as the quality, finishing of the wooden rolling pin is good. The finishing of the chakla is excellent, packaging/handling and delivery too were commendable!!
