The Alterna Vegan Caviar My Hair, My Canvas exfoliator cleanser is like giving your scalp a manicure! You know how the manicurist soaks, buffs, massages, cleans & makes your nails look brand spankly, sparkly new & clean? That's basically what this exfoliator does to your scalp, it exfoliates with the tiny beads in a clear gel that lathers on wet drenched hair. If you take the time to really run the lather & beads into your scalp & massage all over using your finger tips before rinsing, one cleanse will make your scalp feel rejuvenated & clean. After a few more days of using this, your hair will be noticably healthier & retain a bit of movement instead of just laying there lifeless. Using beauty tools like curlers or straiteners will produce better results as well. Now don't get me started on the scent, wow is it heavenly. It smells like those expensive salon products that you can never afford. When you enter a high end salon, the whiff of their pricey products that you rarely get to experience is what's in this bottle. So you feel like you have your own high end salon day every time you use this product. The only flaw is that dispenser, it took me several times fumbling with it to get it to work. At first it would not pump at all, I was trying to figure out if left means it locks it and right means it dispenses. Finally I managed to get it to pop into place. Right does dispense & left locks up. If you leave it on the right side & not move it anymore, it will dispense each time. The consistency is clear gel-like with tiny beads. The bottle is quite small & pricey so I try to use only the bare minimum. It lathers best with drenched hair. Overall there product cleans well & revitalizes your scalp, I absolutely love this product and a bit sad I won't be able to purchase it often due to it's price, will buy again for birthdays or Christmas to treat myself. I highly recommend it.
