I accidentally bought this for my skinny old man Great Dane. Satin Balls were recommended to me by a breeder to help him gain weight but they meant a raw food diet. I tried to return it and couldn’t so figured might as well try it. I’m glad I did. He is slowly gaining and I’m so happy because nothing else has worked. He loves the taste too.

Great product! and picky eater approved. My dog won't eat any kind of suppliment he's extremely picky; maybe he would try it for a couple days, but than would refuse it; we have been going strong with this for months now! and he still loves it every day! I mix it with goat milk and give it to him that way and he drinks it up with excitement. This product is amazing!

I have been using this product for three years. However, the recent item has a different formula that was filled with small black granular material. I guess it is some sort of seed that was added but I am concerned so I will not be feeding it to my dogs unless XDog can confirm it is safe.

I have a 15 yr old best friend who started losing weight and has lost a bit of mass . I know he is old but if I can do something to keep him from getting too skinny then I’m gonna do it . We increased his food intake and changed his food a couple years ago to better quality that I can see the whole ingredients and that has helped but it wasn’t enough . This is exactly what I had been searching for ! It’s really a great idea and I’m super thankful that it exists . My dog either doesn’t notice it added to his food or he really likes the taste because he eats it without hesitation . It’s been a couple weeks since we started him on it and I don’t notice him getting any thinner so that’s really good . The container will last us awhile since my little old man dog is 10lbs . I weigh him every couple of weeks since he started getting skinny . At his prime he was a solid 12lbs . If I see any weight gain I will update this . Honestly I feel better having this to give him and just maintaining his weight right now is HUGE ! Thank you to the people who made this stuff . My furry old dog bestie means the world to me and this gives me some comfort seeing him not getting any thinner . Since he turned 14 the weight loss and muscle mass loss was really noticeable . The ingredients are similar if not identical to what I’ve seen in similar type of human products of the same type. Good stuff . My old dog approves

Had a little trouble with this as my dog is pretty picky with new food treats or almost anything so I had to blend this with chicken broth to add to his meals it seems to be okay I will check his weight and hopefully he’s doing well with this as he’s a little smaller than his sister and they are from same parents

My dog LOVES this "protein powder" for dogs(that's what we call it). He is finally eating his dry food every time with this added in. In the past I would add freeze dried raw topper and some water to the kibble and he would lick the raw food off and leave the kibble. Now that I've been adding a scoop of this, he's been devouring every meal. I'm honestly shocked, because my boy is very picky. He's an extremely active working breed dog and struggles to keep weight on/gain weight in general. He eats inukshuk 32/32(highest cal dog food per cup) and this also helps add some calories in which he could always use. He gets a scoop in his breakfast and dinner and can't get enough of it. I will continue to repurchase until he gets sick of it(fingers crossed he won't). I can't recommend this enough for picky eaters/dogs that need some extra calories. Be aware that it is adding fat, though, so if your dog isn't very active it may not be the best fit for them. If you're ever unsure you should always ask your vet anyways.

I ordered this Satin Balls protein supplement for my Belgian Malinois pup. He was the smallest of the litter and has grown a bit more slowly than his siblings, so a boost to help him get up to ideal weight was needed. The product arrived in a sealed tub, with a freshness/safety seal underneath the lid. When I opened it, the granulated powder was reasonably full, and smelled pretty good. Following the instructions of 1/2 amount for first few days, we’ve only just started using this so it’s a bit too soon to tell how well it works. But mixed with his food (home prep), it blended easily, and he did not seem adverse to the smell or flavor (he eats anything so I don’t think that’ll be an issue anyway! LOL) I’ll update as we progress, but for now it arrived as expected. Recommended with five stars!
