Crouching Dragon: The Journey of Zhuge Liang Paperback – October 4, 2013

If you liked the original "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" or the superb tv series by the same name, you will enjoy this book. The book follows the genius strategist Zhuge Liang as he aides Liu Bei in his efforts to reunite China. A parade of villains and heroes (depending on your view) try to outfight and out-think each other in this struggle for supremacy.I will definitely be following this author as he develops. Chinese history is deep and rich and very rarely explored by western writers and audiences, I am looking forward to learning more.

I really enjoyed this book. I think it gives a good first person account of a great strategist and how he carried the Liu Bei. I like the way he was depicted, I thought it was realistic of what could have happened in the three kingdoms period

Sucks sucks.. Not a good read at all. They make the characters weak.

I really like the characterization of Kongming, and the use of some figures from the period who are not featured prominently in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms novel.Always glad for more Chinese themed literature. Anyone who likes ROTK, or Water Margin should definitely give this a read. It's well done.

For anyone interested in the 3K period I recommend buying this and I suspect you'll enjoy it! However for those people new to this era of Chinese history I suggest you try something else first as you may feel overwhelmed by the volume of names thrown at you!
