Would they also adequately protect my hearing at a NASCAR race?** A: I found that "A NASCAR race car is measured to be about 125-130 decibels"....the Hearos earplugs reduce the decibles up to...or down to... 20 decibles, so that would be 105-110 decibles of noisen depending of seating, with the earplugs in. Based on CDC statictics, you could listen to about 91 decibles of noise for about 2 hours, without it starting to impact hearing. I Can Hear Everything but it still Protects! *by A***R on November 14, 2016* I bought these earplugs to combat hearing loss while playing in a Rock n Roll band. I was nervous that using earplugs would made it difficult to hear while I was playing but I was pleasantly surprised when I began to use this set of Hearos. I play bass and sing and I was able to clearly hear both with the earplugs in. Not only that, but I was also able to clearly hear the rest of the band. These earplugs do a great job at cancelling out harmful loud sound waves and are able to keep the frequencies that I need to hear visible. They seem to cut no sounds out, but simply make everything quieter. I have enjoyed not having a ringing in my ears after practice. I gave these earbuds a 4 because I recently purchased ones that I can adjust to hear higher frequencies more clearly or lower frequencies more clearly and those proved to be higher quality although much more expensive. These earplugs are by far the best for the price as I have tried other music earplugs at similar price that are foam. The plastic rings around these cut out no frequencies so I believe these are the best for the price.
