Fine instrument
At this price this is a beautiful and exceptional instrument. The echo bell works exactly as it should. I could not tell if the valves are Monel, but they are top loaded.

Flat beyond tuning and finish came ruined on "new" instrument
I thought this would be a fun novelty horn, and maybe a halfway decent student cornet. No.The horn came with dents and marred finish on a supposedly new instrument. I could deal with the finish and blemishes, but the real problem is the horn is so flat that I couldn't bring it in tune. Tuning slides all the way in and it is almost a half-step flat.My recommendation to everyone is to not purchase this horn. Save your money and buy anything else.

Good cornet, but needs a good cleaning
Cornet is a great little instrument for the price. Definitely needs a good bath before playing, as mine was horribly out of tune. Luckily, after a massive cleaning and lubrication it plays pretty well in tune and echo function works as intended.

The horn sounds bad. The third valve sticks. The tone is very airy. I tried to return it and it was so expensive to try to return to India, $70, that it wasn't worth returning. Now I am stuck with it. I did not realize at the time of purchase that it was coming from India and with such a risk.
