## Description

Product Description

Review: Very good fan. - This review is for the 260 USB rechargeable fan. I am a fan connoisseur, I cannot sleep without a fan, and I always need a fan facing me at my desk at work. I have bought more than 30 fans over the last decade. The fan has a single button which when pressed allows you to cycle through 4 speed modes. When held down, it turns on a night light and when held again, it turns off. The only way to turn the fan off is to cycle through all the fan modes. Not a feature I like in a fan. On the lowest setting is has plenty of air flow and it's very quiet. I had to position it further back than my Tripole fan as the air flow is quite a lot. I can hear my PC fan over the top of this fan. It really is quiet. I swapped my bed side table fan for one of these too, and I'd say it was a bit too quiet as I prefer a bit of white noise to sleep to. The battery is a 5000mAH battery which is replaceable. The battery pack is 2x 2500mAH 18650 cells in series. You could probably find generic replacements. The battery seems to last a long time. I've not had them run out of battery from all day use on the low setting. The head can tilt up, and slightly downwards, however on the low setting, if tilted downwards, the edge of the fan seems to rub and makes an unpleasant sound. The tilting action is manual, there's no oscillation Came supplied with a USB C cable with the other end being a standard USB A. The cable length was approx 1 meter and white like the fan. The front cover can be removed, as well as the fan blades detached for cleaning without any tools required.
Review: Well made, small and compact - It is small and well made, but it does pack a punch for it's size. If you want a small air circulator/fan that is quiet, then this is it. My wife can't stand fans that are noisy and rattle You need a socket with a usb socket in it,or a usb charger to charge it, It also comes with a usb c cable. It'll last up to 14 hours off a full charge, on 1st speed . I would use 2nd,or 3rd speed, obviously it would drop the stated 14 hours down, but you could take the charger with you and plug it in. We also have the larger 1056 air circulator, which is also well made and very quiet. I was always told Quality does come at a cost , but it also lasts !.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Are 350 and 650 size good enough ? I mean in terms of performance for a medium size bedroom**
A: I’ve got the 650 and it’s brilliant. I only have it on 1 or 2 in the bedroom. I think the 350 might be a bit small

**Q: Anyone got any ideas how to get inside this fan to clean it ... mine's full of dust and fluff, and I just want to clean it down before I put it away?**
A: If you look at the back of the fan at the top there are two small screws. Remove them and keep them safe to one side. Then with a small screw driver you can push down gently at the four small clip arms that hold the front to the back. These clips are evenly spaced around the joint. Once released the two fall apart easily. Now you can access all the parts to clean them. Then just need to do the reverse operation to assemble it back together and replace back the small screws you removed earlier.

**Q: Is this safe for toddler fingers?**
A: Yes I would think so. The blade cover spaces are very small and the blade is far back so I don’t see a toddler being able to damage them self

**Q: how much warranty do you get with the meaco fan 1056?**
A: If you bought it in the UK, under the Consumer Rights Act (2015), you are entitled to goods of satisfactory quality. One aspect of this is durability and it is not a fixed definition. If you had bought a bargain basement fan for £30 you expect a certain level of quality, but we are talking about a £150 fan at full price. You could argue that if the fan were to break outside of the 2-year warranty that because this is a premium product, the expectation of quality (and thus duration) is a premium level also. Were you to find yourself in this situation, you are entitled to a refund from the seller (the Act concerns the seller, not the maker) within 30 days, but a more reasonable request might be a replacement. Similarly, were you to mention "The Consumer Rights Act 2015" in correspondence with the seller, you may find things happen more quickly. If that doesn't succeed, then a quick email to your MP usually gets things sorted within an hour or two.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing small fan after 3.5 years
*by M***T on 20 May 2024*

I bought this fan 3.5 years ago during the COVID summers and I am still amazed how good they are that I had to come back and give a review. I have bought 3 of these fans now and even given some to friends. They are small powerful sturdy fans, easily portable and quiet for bedtime too. They keep their charge well even after storing them over the winter. My kids love carrying them round in the hot summer months and been great taking them on holidays too. Being battery powered, they are great in the garden on hot still days. Needless to say, I am a big fan of this fan.
