Thank God that Father Cantalamessa is still preaching to the Papal Household. He has given us very deep and meaningful insights on so any aspects of Our Lord and Christian living. This might just be his best.

Any book by Fr Raniero is a joy to read, but The Gaze Of Mercy particularly so. His reflections on Gospel passages are so deeply spiritual, but so accessible at the same time. His thoughts on John 8 - the adulterous woman the Pharisees drag before Jesus - is a gem. If you really want to begin to understand that mercy is the air God breathes, read and pray this book.
