I originally bought a couple of these for search & rescue training to bring lightweight manikins in/out of the field. However, we recently used them for wilderness first aid training to carry an adult in. I was pretty amazed how strong and sturdy this inexpensive soft stretcher is. I quizzed our participants on the stretcher & all gave it a thumbs up - even our patient who was carried quite a distance to the trailhead. Plan to order more for our SAR unit!

Use these at a BLS fire/rescue station. We keep them stocked on all rescue trucks. They definitely do the job when other methods aren't viable.

A great add to any first aid kit or class. Works well, stores away small and can be a great people mover in remote enviormental or in a mass casualty incident.

This is definitely a must have in any search and rescue responder bag to help recover injured

Compré una y la cargo en mi mochila de montaña. Quizá sea más peso y exagerado pero es mejor ser precavido. Un rescate aquí puede tardar más de 3 horas. No sirve si la persona tiene una lesión cervical o de columna (por obvias razones) pero si para evacuar a alguien que quizá se haya fracturado o tenga otra lesión. No es una camilla rígida (no para maniobras con cuerdas), pero bueno es mejor usar esto que tener que improvisar una camilla en plena montaña o bajar a la persona en tus hombros.

Used it folded in half to take my black lab to the vet for his last visit. worked very well. Can't tell you how it works with humans but it is strong enough I think, if you had some sort of a a reason to do that.
