Diamond Head DU-200P Deluxe Natural Mahogany Pineapple Soprano Ukulele

I'm a classroom music teacher and I bought a class set (25) of these ukuleles in two different purchases. The first 12, bought in 2019, were great right out of the box.I bought another 13 in fall of 2020 and between then and now, 10 of them have lost their A string. It's not a huge deal, but the set I bought in 2019 has been just fine; a string replacement here and there but nothing unexpected. There's also a sound quality difference, but haven't replaced all four strings on any of the new ukuleles yet.If you're buying one, just buy a decent set of strings and learn to change them. If you're buying them for a class, be ready to search for A strings in bulk.

It is not top of the line but it is very good for what I was looking for. I am building a playable wall in my music room. Any instrument hanging on the wall is playable. So far I have a mandolin, ukulele, 2 guitar's, a trombone, and a flute. I am looking at a clarinet, a couple of saxophone's, a trumpet a couple of recorders, and a few other items when I get paid. Its a once a month thing, sometimes 2 months. The Diamond Head Ukulele sounds good, no complaints at all. easy to learn to play. For beginners it is ideal. Buy one if your into a little fun. You will be tip-toeing thru the tulips in a very short time..I like it so get one and get started.

Not a bad little instrument!I had to set it up of course, strings were a mile off the fretboard, but that's to be expected.The machines are junk, one is completely trash.Sound is beautiful, nice and full!Can tell it wasn't made to be a quality product, but it's pretty close!I set mine up as a mandola, CGDA! Sounds awesome!Edit: After more work and ditching the nylon strings for steel tenor guitar strings still tuned CGDA, this is one of my favorite instruments!

I was really surprised by the quality considering the price. First of all it's got a good intonation, and that makes it a real playable instrument instead of a toy. It's got a loud sound and has a good tone. I have a better uke like my Oscar Schmidt OU 240 SWK but that was five times the price. But the Diamond Head has got a real good playability, frets are nicely dressed. I have lowered the nut 0,5 milimeter for a real good action. I really like it and always have it around wherever I go, unlike my more expensive one that I always keep at home.

READ LIST OF AVAILABLE SOPRANO UKULELES, READ MANY REVIEWS, TOOK A CHANCE AND BOUGHT THIS SOPRANO UKULELE FOR MY LITTLE NIECE. DID NOT DO TOO WELL WITH MY FINAL CHOICE. I KNEW THE STRING WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED, SO ALSO ORDERED GOOD QUALITY ONES. DIDN'T KNOW HOW POORLY CONSTRUCTED THE INSTRUMENT WOULD BE. THE FINISH WASN'T ALL THAT BAD. BUT BOTH ENDS OF EACH METAL FRET HAD NOT BEEN FILED OFF, WERE PROTRUDING OUT BEYOND THE UKULELE'S NECK, AND WERE REALLY SHARP AND ROUGH. I HAD TO . FILE THEM DOWN SO MY NIECE WOULDN'T CUT HER HANDS. EVEN WITH NEW STRINGS, THE SOUND QUALITY IS NOT GOOD. AM ASHAMED TO GIVE TO TO MY NIECE.

Purchased this item as a christmas gift for my granddaughter. She loved it! I chose a concert size which is much easier for a 7-year old to transition with chords. She is doing great and is very happy with her gift. It is beautiful and has a wonderful sound.

The tuners were not properly adjusted and loose. This makes tuning difficult and it won't stay in tune either. I don't like these tuners. Your advertising is ambiguous and leads one to think the ukulele is mahogany when the top is not and that effects the tone even though it is a multiply top. The sound is thin. All this said I wish I had spent a little more money. For $10.00 more I could have bought a better ukulele. The day I bought it you lowered the price.

I bought this when it was a tad cheaper on Amazon and it was a great deal then, and I still love the sound of it, but this thing can't stay in tune more than a day. I wasn't expecting the greatest ukulele in the world, just something to test out the baritone sound but I was hoping I'd be able to use it a little more consistently after figuring out that I liked playing it much better than my soprano one. It's an absolute pain to have to re-tune it every time I want to play and it's deterred me from playing as much as I'd like. I'd advise you to spend a little more up front on something you won't have to replace later - learn from my mistake.

Very disappointed with the item. Item came well wrapped and i mean well wrapped, The box it was in was as big as a house. The item itself was very poor. The tuners were very slack and kept slipping, i know nylon strings take a couple of weeks to settle in but these wouldnt have done, Another problem i had was trying to tune it. I used a chromatic tuner and for the life of me i couldnt get the C string tuned, i used the chromatic setting on my tuner and nearly did it, the tuner was telling me it was in tune but it sounded awful against any ukulele on youtube. Action on this thing was horrendous, it was really high. I ended up returning it for a full refund. I would have given it 2 stars, the extra star was for customer service which was impeccable, the free returns and door pickup was quick and on time. I item was collected on a Tuesday, i had an email 2 days later stating my refund was being processed. Ireally wanted to like this as it was a lovely looking instrument but i just cant recommend it.

Excellent bari uke once you've replaced the factory strings. I used 'Living Water Strings' and the sound is now heavenly!

Muy bonito y ligero. La forma lo hace especial u se ve mejor que en la foto. Lastima que las cuerdas con las que viene son enteramente plasticas y no de nylon. Suena muy bien una vez afinado. Me gustaria un mejor trabajo de barniz pero tal vez le quite el estilo. Esta hecho en china por cierto.

Nice ukelele purchased as a gift for my nine year old granddaughter as a gift. Could be packaged a little better as it arrived with the box broken, and the item inside was only in a plastic bag with no other protection from banging around. Nevertheless, the item was not damaged and is a really nice size. Sounds good.
