Online Metal Supply 304 Stainless Steel Sheet .035" (20 ga.) x 12" x 18" - #4 Brushed Finish

Needed a stainless steel surface for my workbench in my dental laboratory, but I love my current wooden desk! All my other tables in here are full stainless steel and it's perfect for what I do, but I just can't find an all steel table with the dimensions of this desk or anything close enough, so I tried using this sheet of SS as a substitute. Just layed it down on the area I use most, and it's perfect! Great clean cut edges well smoothed so as not to be too sharp, and very flat and well made. 304 has excellent hardness, is not reactive to almost anything, has decent heat resistance and dispersion properties and doesn't corrode unless there's no oxygen, so it's great for just about anything I can throw at it.

Just as described. But edges are extremely sharp.

I bought two of these because I was doing a tile backsplash and installing a new range hood and didn't want to be scrubbing painted cabinets when they eventually got gross. These were just an inch too wide for me so I used an abrasive cutoff wheel on my angle grinder to take an inch off either one. They arrived with a nice heavy duty protective plastic which, after I cut, sanded and epoxied them up on my cabinets, I peeled off, revealing a perfect finish that matches all my stainless appliances perfectly. Thanks guys for making these pieces available here on amazon. If you made this exact one just an inch shallower, this would be a click > buy > do project enhancer for any of us DIY folks! Cheap and convenient. But the handling damage makes it useless except for welding practice. Scratches are fairly deep, corner is bent. Judging from other reviews this is pretty much the standard, so take that into consideration.

Looks great but shipping was poor and 2 of the corners were severely bent. Tried hammering flat, got close enough given I have molding that will cover these parts. However without the molding to cover it wouldn't have been OK and I would have returned. While the photos show lots of scratches, this was on the back side and the protective film on the main side kept the finish in good shape. Used to protect side of a kitchen cabinet by sink that was taking water damage and dings.

Got this to repair a grill that I like. You'll notice that most "stainless" grills only have stainless on the flashy outside parts. I shaped and riveted this bad boy to the inside of my grill where it was rusting under the burners... (stainless rivets as well)..... and I suspect that it is indestructible now.
