People order fatty biltong. Complain when they get fatty biltong. smh. It’s delicious. Good flavour. Not too dry. Ideal amount of fat. Exactly what I wanted. I usually like a little more thickness to the slices, but that’s my own personal preference and certainly doesn’t detract from my enjoyment.

I recently tried Smally's Biltong - Original Fatty and, let me tell you, it's a game-changer for snack time. As someone who loves a good, meaty treat, the generous amount of fat in this biltong really hit the spot. It's like that feeling when you find an extra chunky piece in your bag - pure joy! The texture was pretty good, although I wouldn't mind it being a tad wetter. It's like when you bite into a perfectly cooked steak, expecting that juicy tenderness. Smally's Biltong gets close to that ideal, but there's just a hint of dryness holding it back. Flavor-wise, it's decent but could use a bit more oomph. You know that moment when you add just the right amount of seasoning to a dish and everything comes alive? That's what I was hoping for. The biltong is tasty, don't get me wrong, but it feels like it's one secret spice away from perfection. All in all, I'm giving Smally's Biltong - Original Fatty a solid 4 stars. It's a satisfying snack that's great for protein lovers and anyone looking for a filling bite on the go. A little tweak in the moisture and flavor, and it could easily become a five-star favorite in my pantry.

The fatty biltong is really good, some of the best I've had. There isn't too much fat and what there is is delicious and soft keeping some moisture in the food.

I order 2kgs of Biltong every month from various producers and this product from Smalley's - Original Fatty Biltong is hands-down, the tastiest most flavourfull Biltong I have ever ordered through Amazon. I normally eat around 100g in a sitting but I had extreme difficulty putting my 500g bag down and literally had to get my partner to take the bag to the fridge after putting the remaining 100g in a paper bag. I have already spoken highly of this product to friends who also love Biltong. Smalley's have obviously taken on board the comments from customers unhappy with the low fat content in previous batches. My 500g bag came with the perfect mix of fat/protein making every bite and mouthful a delight - I even had goose-bumps for the first time eating Biltong. Best enjoyed at room temperature. Go BOKS!

Was looking forward to some lovely wet and fatty biltong. No fat at all. Dry. No fat. Did I mention no fat? So disappointed. Nice flavour but not the same as fatty biltong. Gutted. Won’t buy again.

Bought the 250g first time to test this, and it’s so good that next bought the 500g pack size. Just do the maths vs supermarket stuff, this 500g works out at less than £1.25 per 25g vs supermarket tiny bags being £1.75-2 or more! Less packaging, and not restricted to just eating 25g each time! Well done Smally’s offering Biltong that is so tasty and cost effective!
