Common sense writing to help you overcome procrastinisation and action your goals.
This is an amazing book! so simple and articulately written. It's my go-to-book that I read every 6 months and the one book I will always have by my side. Daniel Walter conveys out so concisely what you need to action to create a habitat of regular discipline. I went through a phase in my life recently where I was procrastinating a lot and not actually actioning anything. Discipline is a habit you have to learn and this book has helped me so much in my personal life, fitness/diet schedule which is important as I'm a type 1 diabetic and also with my job as a Graphic Designer. If I had children I would but them this book as a life guide. When I do get periods when I'm down or cannot action goals I always use this book as a refresher. Daniel thank you for writing such a common sense book in a frantic, busy world we live in today. There is a fantastic quote by tennis player Roger Federer. "Discipline is a Talent" he is so correct and made him one of the best tennis players of all time. Highly, highly recommend this book, it's worth every penny. Thank you, Andrew Stanford High Wycombe UK 5 stars.

review
I read atomic habits immediately before this and it seemed quite a bit of this book was that from atomic habits. I also was expecting a little more about how to develop self discipline. However, there are still some useful things I would take away, and I would say this is a good intro to the field of developing good habits and systems. It’s also clear from the good reviews that many people found this book very helpful.

This has really helped me, unlike other things I have read
This is really practical and helpful, at least for me. I am sticking to a low-cal diet (5 weeks in), not least due to the strategies in the book. The golden phrase for me is 'get comfortable with being uncomfortable'. Yes, any self discipline is going to be tough, but this book is 'feet on the floor' and says how you can deal with that - genuinely helpful. I am not so sold on the meditation stuff covered in a couple of chapters, but hey, that's me and perhaps I should give that a go too. And, by the way, the book is fairly short with short chapters, so easy to take in and also convenient to re-read chapters to keep reinforcing the approach.

Finished the book in 2 days
A short book but lots of value in reading it. Nice layout. The short chapters encouraged me to read on as used them as little milestones and before I knew it, I finished the book in 2 days. It was an enjoyable read. I personally got my highlighter pen and highlighted things that stood at to me and used it a bit like a workbook and can easily reference back to them in the future to guide me.

A very good read.
Self discipline is the main point of the book. One of the most useful ideas Daniel gave in this book is to love the process. Many times, we achieve a goal, however small it is, we then forget to keep continuing. However, if we keep following the process, the path to attain the same will become our habit...

Top!
