Would work excellent for batting, I use it for Armaflex, its pretty stiff, but if you like that it cuts good once you put a real edge on it. I prefer the Hyde or others, but this isn't bad, and I just want the flexibility. No fault on knifes part. Good quality.

Great knife for cutting insulation. I work construction as a pipefitter for supermarket refrigeration. I use it to cut Armaflex every day. Armaflex dulls blades VERY quickly, so I need to touch up the edge 2-3 times a day. When it's sharp, it cuts clean and straight.

You should get this tool if you plan to do any insulation. Cuts like butter and you don’t have to worry about a regular box cutter snagging and tearing your insulation

Knife works great, but definitely needs a sheath. Found a 8" bread knife sheath that fits perfectly for a couple bucks shipped.

This batting knife works very well at cutting fiberglass insulation batts. The handle is comfortable to hold. And the blade seems to hold its sharpness well. This knife is definitely worth the price.

Seems to maintain its edge better than a Hyde batt knife. Also seems to pick up less tar from Kraft material. Slices unfaced like butter all day. A little more expensive than the competition but overall a good quality product with some upside for professional installers.

This thing is absolutely useless for cutting insulation. It is literally duller than a butter knife. Don’t waste your money on this item. Pay a little more and get one that has a wave blade on one side and is serrated on the other.

The sticker on the blade is super inconvient and a pain to get off. but the knife works well and is sturdy.
