WE LOVE the Mexican Alturas coffee beans. Not only do we love it...but when overnight guests have tried our morning coffee - they comment on how good it is! Two people we know have now become 'fans' of this brand (Coffee Bean Direct) of Mexican Alturas and order/drink it as their preference. THANKS!

I discovered Altura coffee on a recent trip to Puerto Vallarta. This particular bean is grown up in the mountainous area east of the resort city. Most coffees plague me with reflux, and since I consume several cups (4-5) per day this coffee is a true blessing. It's not strong and I that's what floats your boat, look elsewhere. For me, It is the taste and the non-reaction. I expect to be buried with a 5 Lb. bag for the afterlife.

Smooth light roast with surprisingly little acidity. A great buy for drinkers on a budget that still want good coffee.

I ordered 5 lbs. of this (with which I am stuck now), expecting a typically mild Mexican coffee. I was disappointed in the weakness of the flavor. Mexican instant coffee is the best flavored instant coffee making others seem pale by comparison so I expected just as rich flavor in the whole roasted beans. Perhaps its the lack of acidity. At regular grind in my burr grinder I need twice as much in the basket to get a decent depth of flavor. So I have changed selections.

A very excellent mild almost sweet flavor when not overheated while brewing. Best done in a coffee press with fresh ground beans. Coffee makers allow too much heat and open air time which can make a fresh cup of very good coffee bitter very quickly. Tis is a very good morning breakfast blend coffee.

From these coffee beans, I brew a full bodied and silky pot of coffee everyday. It is a treat to wake up to a mug full of this coffee.

Coffee Bean Direct has some of the best coffees . They roast just before shipping and you can tell.Mexican altura is very good. If you like Columbian, you will like this, Full body, low acid, great everyday coffee.
