Mine are a little baggy so I’m not sure if I should get a smaller size.** A: they are cotton - cotton will shrink depending on the amount of heat used for cleaning. I hand wash mine in body temperature water and line dry inside the house - I haven't seen any shrinkage in several washes. If they do shrink you can stretch them back out by washing in warm water then stretching them while they dry. I've lengthened T-shirt by 4 inches by hanging weights on the hem and letting the shirt dry on a hanger. Something similar will work on panties. Hang them from a sturdy hanger by the waist band, then hook a spray bottle on the crotch, add or subtract water from the bottle to get the amount of stretch you want. They are a touch small around the hip band for me, yet leg opening is generous. Meaning, if I'd sized up, they very well might have been to large in the legs and not stayed down (as there is no elastic in the legs that I can tell). That said, they were comfortable. I did hand wash them and in scrubbing them, I noticed the fabric pilled a bit. Nothing terrible, but I'm guessing with time and several machine washes, they might have a tendency to pill somewhat. Also seemed however that one color did it more than the others (and it's nothing to deter purchasing them). The cotton is soft and a nice weight. I'm happy with the colors, as they are exactly what is in the photograph. I've been wearing a GAP style that is very similar from several years ago, that I've been looking to replace. This style is the closest thing I've found to them, which Is great as this string bikini style is flattering. And, they are 100% cotton, which is such a rarity these days. Overall well worth the price, will buy again, and would recommend them to a friend.
