I use this for holding a tablet or Surface containing music. Generally the parts I play are in portrait mode but sometimes I have to rotate 90 degrees to landscape. That can be cranky, and occasionally the head falls off during that action. It's useful to be able to remove the head for storage and carrying but the fasteners need to be more secure. The second phone holder is a problem. The product description implies an 11 inch vertical extension but the best I can get is about 5 -- and that's not enough to hold a Samsung A53 with a thin case vertically and the separation of about 4 inches is too large to hold that phone horizontally. That feature was a "nice to have" so it's not a dealbreaker but buyers need to be careful if they want to use the second holder..

I do videos for social media and our website. I needed a more professional feel to the videos so I found an in iPad app called teleprompter so I could have the iPad for a written script. Using the iPhone 16 for recording I wanted a combo tripod to hold both and this one looked good. Once I got it an installed it is was great. It comes in an earring case, it is very sturdy, and most important it is easy to assemble. The instructions were Ok but it was easy to figure out how to put it together. Also the price is a deal for what this can deliver.

The ball for the tablet holder was broken. Ordered a replacement and then received notification that the order will be delayed. Just give me my refund back. The tripod is sturdy, the phone holder looked to be sturdy but I never put it on, I was just to frustrated by the tablet ball piece that was broken.

The iPad mount sits in a ball joint which is tightened with a plastic knob which sits over and tightens a metal nut. After a handful of uses, I tightened - not overtightened - the knob and it broke off the nut. Thankfully, when the knob broke off the nut it was *after* tightening the ball joint, so the iPad was held in place.If I can replace the nut with a wingnut, this will solve the problem. But it would never have happened in the first place if the knob had been beefy enough to survive normal use.The stand itself is a usable compromise between sturdiness and portability/light weight. The spring holding the iPad's corners is strong enough to hold very securely, but it may be a bit too strong for weak users. It's good enough that when the knob broke I felt very disappointed. If the tightening knob was adequate, I would give the stand four stars for economy and usability.
