Great gift
I know this gift is for 10+ ages but I got this for my 8yo. He loves Legos and puzzles (he's very good at them) so I decided to give this a try. He loved it! He did need help cutting the pieces out but once I did that for him he was off. Unfortunately like any kid they loose pieces. This is where customer service comes in. Hands down great service. My son even said, "that was very nice of them". I emailed them telling them that either my son lost a major piece or it wasn't in there, sent them a picture of what piece I was missing and asked if they sold extras. They informed me they didn't and would replace it for free. I was stunned and very thankful. I will definitely be buying more robot kits from them in the future.

Grandson loves these! Ordered many!
Bought this on sale for one of my twin grandsons as he has almost all that they sell now. He just loves putting things together like this. He will definitely have fun and he's almost 12 now. Quick Shipping too!

Great STEM project and it never gets boring with the 13 different robots.
The gearbox and robot need some time to build. When I did finish the gearbox and went to test it the box it did not work so I had to take it apart and start over, making sure the gears were all touching, it worked! Then when I finished my first robot it did not work in full sunlight . So I took everything out and redid it fine tuning it and went out it still did not work so later I found out that the solar panel is not strong enough. So I had to hook the wires up to a battery then it worked! But after I hooked it to the battery my little brother got very exited to see it work and played with it all day then the next day he wanted to build a new one so I helped and I also like that is has 13 different robots to build so you would never become bored. All in all a great STEM project and fun way to spend your time building and playing with the 13 different robots, but I would make sure I have a battery and everything is perfect.

Good for kids interested in STEM
The body is not the easiest to build, but it is fun to see the finished product work. Also on mine it seems like the robot was moving backwards and I followed the instructions. My 7 year old figured out the fix... If you put the black wire on the positive instead of the red the robot will move the opposite way.

Many Different Options
You have the option of building 14 different kinds of robots from this one kit. So, you could build one a day for 2 weeks before you have built them all. I put this together with my two grandsons. The package says 10 and up but I think for 10 to 13 year olds there should be some adult supervision. Overall things went pretty smooth. Lots of little stickers. If you were a parent in the 1990's think TMNT stickers. That was the worst part, putting on little stickers. But you could get by without them if you have big fingers and the kids do not have the dexterity to put them on. It was fun and did not take us long time once we figured out the process. No written instructions just lots and lots of pictures. Once you have the power plant and drive train built you do not have to take them apart to build the other robots, those are used for all of the robots along with the head. Our lamps were not enough to power the robot but a battery is provided to run the robot with. We are going to try it out in the sun tomorrow.

Moves for a split second
**you need a cutting tool to get the pieces outve the frames without damaging them** I've been helping my almost 5 year old with this and hes had so much fun with it. Hes currently super into to movies like Wall-e and Robots. Pros: Has kept my kid entertained for days. The variety of building options. Introducing my kid to solar power. Bags with labels to keep all the pieces organized. Detailed instruction book with pictures. Cons: Can be tricky getting the pieces outve the frames. You have to trim off sharp bits. It doesnt come with a cutting tool so you have to have your own or buy one. *Our robot only moves for a split second then stops working.*

Great gift!!
The robot is a gift for my nephew. He liked it a good deal. I was not expecting it to come in the packaging it came in. The plastic parts needed to be separated, but it doesn’t look like much of an inconvenience. I haven’t put it together yet because my nephew wants to put it together. Once it’s assembled I will add to my review. My nephew was excited to see it, and the produce seems like great fun!! Excellent for the price and everything was complete and in great condition!!

Waste of time and money.
Do not buy, waste of money and time. My partner and I bought 6 of these packs for Christmas and none of them works. Back story, my partner builds kits like this very often and when my brother who fixes actually machines has issues, I know something is seriously wrong. Regardless of if it's in direct sunlight or using a modified UV light, it's movement is non-existent and half of the plastic pieces were warped and didn't have to ability to move. They send a battery to test the components, but since the wires are so thin and fragile it's more likely that you will rip the wires out trying to test it. Although it's a cute paperweight, it is useless in it's designed purpose.

Cheap materials, waste of your money
Cheap finishing, low quality. You won't be able to assemble the parts correctly (holes that need to connect with other parts, will be blocked, all the parts aren't pre cut which means you'll spend several hours just to try and get disappointed at the end) Highly unrecommended
