Pretty good, but not the best.
I bought this bottle and another, superior one, found here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JGDDNQ0/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_1 Both bottles are good, seal well, and are priced right. In fact, I am pretty sure they are manufactured by the same company and sold on contract to resellers, as the construction of the bottle is nearly identical, with a few important distinctions.First, this bottle is powder coated and has a nice textured feel, but the finish comes off easily. Some of it rubbed off on a single two-day backpacking trip. I have no idea why. The other bottle I received has a smooth coat of paint that has been durable, so far.Second, I tried putting both bottles in the dishwasher, against both sellers' recommendations. This bottle went from black to gray, while the other bottle looks exactly like it did when I got it.Third, this bottle lacked a foam pad on the bottom, something the other bottle had that I don't really care about much. The other bottle's foam pad survived the dishwasher fine. Both bottles seal excellently. They are far better seal than plastic Nalgene bottles. Both bottle are extremely well-insulated. The closest thing I have to a problem with them is that I often need to keep the lid off to help my coffee cool down.Strangely, neither bottle, at least in the color I purchased, is currently available. I definitely recommend getting the other bottle if that changes. Otherwise, this one works really well.

This bottle is the best. Can keep it in the car in the arizona summer and it is always ice coldI've been using this bottle for about 4 months now. It continues to keep my water ice cold on a daily basis. My only complaint would be with the design of the cap. I admit that it did fall out of bag, dropped about 3 feet to the concrete. It got a small crack in the lid, when tipped on it side for some time I can feel a small amount of moisture on the cap. While it doesn't actively drip, it is still kind if annoying. Luckily it still keeps the water plenty cold. The good thing is that there are replacement lids out there for relatively cheap. If the cracks gets any bigger I will buy one of them

a freakin' torpedo that looks like a rocket ship that really is a waterbottle.
This bottle is like a freaking torpedo and a TSA's nightmare if they ever saw it under the scanner. The black on black color is such a nice touch and that fifty/fifty logo is minimal and perfect.I honestly love this water bottle and the only thing that I would say that is a bit of setback is that when you have it filled to the brim with water, it's like carrying around a fat chihuahua cause it's that heavy. I can't seem to justify deducting a star for that reason because it's not a question of quality or functionality. It's just something to be aware of.The bottle carries a generous amount of water but if it doesn't satisfy your needs, they do have growler size that you can look into. The double-walled protection is perfect cause it keeps your liquids cold and hot for hours. I mean I have ice cubes still in the bottle that last til the end of the day. I know there has been a bit of hubbub about the cap/seal and I agree with them all that it's a bit cheap for such a high-quality bottle BUT I haven't dealt with anything in terms of leakage or issues about the cap. The only thing that happens is sometimes when I open the bottle with one hand and forget to hold back the cap-it slaps me in the face and I look stupid but again no reason to deduct stars. Its an awesome bottle-so much better than those nalgene or klean kanteen ones AND it's damn sexy.

Seems to Work
I read a lot of reviews about this water bottle and watched a few videos on youtube. It does keep the fluid cold but mine doesn't perform as well as some of those youtube videos show. The plastic ring that hold the cap on seems to be fairly stable but I'm really careful with it. It's only plastic. There is one major drawback that will keep me from buying another one of these and it has nothing to do with how this bottle performed but in that Lifeline does not make an alternative cap for on it. I didn't realize how difficult it would be to actually drink from this and thought it would be like a large cup. It's not and it's very easy to spill water on your chest/stomach. I bought one of those "universal" caps that has a smaller opening to drink from and although worked well, it leaked. I'm going to try to get one of the small inserts to put into the opening of this bottle to see if that will work. I work outdoors for 10 hours and I need another bottle. I'll probably be getting another brand that has a different drinking type lid. Crazy, you need to drink from it so why not make an actual lid that makes it easy?

Amazing bottle! 24+ hours of cold water. No condensation. Black bottle does have issues though, buyer beware...
Let me start off by saying that I have fallen in love with Lifeline Stainless Steel Water Bottles.I discovered them when I ordered two of the 64oz Growler (SILVER) Lifeline bottles from Amazon after seeing a discount on them online. These bottles are AMAZING! Ice has lasted over 24-hours, which makes these bottles my best friend during the Summer months. There is absolutely zero condensation with these bottles too, which is convenient.Unfortunately, there appears to be something wrong with this BLACK 40oz. model. I ordered the BLACK bottle and the WHITE bottle, but the BLACK bottle came with a defect. The WHITE bottle was fine and is just as amazing as the SILVER 64 oz. bottles I ordered. The BLACK bottle had what sounded like a metal piece inside rolling around. The three other bottles did not have this issue so I though noting of it and ordered an exchange from Amazon. The new bottle arrived quickly and had the EXACT same issue. It sounded like there was a small piece of metal rolling around inside as you moved the bottle around. This made me concerned about the quality of the vacuum seal which is the feature that makes this bottle amazing. Needless to say, I returned this second bottle and did not try to replace it again. That said, I do LOVE the bottles from this company and could not recommend the other versions any higher. These are the best bottles that I have ever had, but there just appears to be some issue with these BLACK bottles.
