Makita is dependable
Excellent! Iโve only used one-great quality doesnโt round off and doesnโt break!

very durable
The bit that came with my drill was much softer and stripped itself out, trying to get a stubborn screw off. These 2 inch Makita bits are much harder and did not strip and therefore I was able to remove all the screws with one bit. No detectable wear on the bit afterwards. I also suspect they are made to a more correct size than the freebie bits.

Worth it indubitablyโฆ
Typical exceptional makita quality. I used these with the associated makita bit holder testing them out on spax screws as i was unconvinced that the spax bit was gripping the screw as well as it could. These makita bits resulted in a significantly better grip on the screw, no question about it. I probably should point out that that a typical bit holder from the usual brands does not hold these bits as well as the makita bit holder. So you will probably need to get the associated makita bit holder to reap the full benefits of these exceptional bits. Far and away the best bits I have tried.

These are good bits
Iโve been using makita bits for 20+ years. They have never failed me. The red or the yellow tool brand have given me problems and I always go back to makita.

Great for Harley!
Harley twin cams use a lot of T27 fasteners (primary cover, chain tensioner cover at a minimum.) T27 aren't common in most Torx sets, these fit and work well.

Makita quality
They hold up way longer than the China cheapies.

Good quality
When you buy a box of hex head screws it comes with one poor quality bit. Before you are done it is wasted. These bits donโt last forever but they are way better. I love them.

Nice tools
Fits good on the fastener and tool. Doesn't strip out the head. Case is nice. On the expensive side but worth it so far.

Not every wood in SA is SA pine softwood.
Broke after driving 12 Spax A2 screws into pre-drilled hardwood. Resorted to using some no-name driver with more success despite using a bit holder.

Good quality but I hoped for a better fit
These are good quality Torx bits but they fit a little looser than I'd like, at least with GRK screws. There's no stripping out but the screw will fall off the bit easily. Again, at least with GRK screws so I think I'll stick to the GRK branded Torx bits for those.

Tough to find T27
Would like longer bits. Used to remove and install rubber paddles on snow blower.
