NP-W126 Dummy Battery AC Power Adapter Kit, for Fuji X100VI Camera.

This power adapter seems to be pretty reliable. I've used two of them for about 2 years, almost 24/7, and have not had them fail once. I take long-term time lapses with my X-E2 and if these adapters even hiccuped, it would mess up the time lapse videos, but that hasn't happened. They also feel pretty heavy, which can be an indicator that they bothered filling them with important components. However, I've heard of some manufacturers just putting a big block of metal or stone in their electronics to give them a more substantial feel. I am not willing to cut open one of my adapters, but based on their performance, they seem to be the real deal.

These types of products always seem sketchy, but in fact, it’s a use case Fuji seemingly planned for. You get a laptop style power supply and a dummy battery with a barrel connector. My camera has a rubber plug to let the wire out while still being able to close the battery hatch. It all feels very secure and official. On the display, the battery meter is gone too further cementing the fact you have UNLIMITED POWERS. I originally got this for use with the webcam software but I suspect this power adapter will have a long and useful life as a handy tool for stationary use.

The dummy battery (the "battery" portion of this item) is slightly smaller than the battery for the Fuji XT3. It's shorter by less than a milimeter, but that's enough for the metal strips on the dummy battery to sometimes fail to make contact with the camera. For example, when using the camera as a webcam for zoom, even bumping the tripod a bit will often cause the dummy battery to lose contact and hence for the camera to turn off. I can tell it's a problem with contact because if I push the dummy battery further into the battery compartment, the camera will turn back on. Sometimes it takes many minutes of adjusting to make it regain contact and hence to make the camera stay on. I've since fixed it by adding a few strips of scotch tape to pad out the bottom of the battery, which makes it artificially longer, but this was a christmas gift to my mom and if I weren't around there's no way she would have been able to fix it, which would have made it effectively worthless. I know this item does not advertise compatibility with the XT3, but it does advertise compatibility with the XT2, which uses the same battery as the XT3, so I can only assume the same problem would occur on the XT2.

I guess the USB ports on my PC don't provide enough current to keep the battery and my Fuji XT3 from running down while using it as a webcam. This was just the ticket, there is a plastic port on the XT3 to allow the cord from this device to exit the battery compartment and let the door close. Fuji used to sell something like this as an accessory but now it's up to the third party market to fill that need. This unit does the job just fine and lets me video conference all day using my XT3 as a webcam. I video conference using a 65-in TV and the Fuji XT3 behind the TV with the 50 to 140mm G2.8 mounted to a tripod. :)

The dummy battery shape is tapered so it does not sit flush with an X-T20, sometimes losing connectivity to the metal prongs in the camera. I had to 3d print a 0.6 mm shim and super glued it to the battery casing. Now it works but I shouldn't have to do this.

This dummy battery is excellent when you don't mind the camera to be tethered to the wall, such as using the camera for a webcam. The battery works well, and keeps the camera running properly during normal use. I'm knocking a star off because the charger has a SUPER bright indicator light on it, which is super distracting. A little electrical tape goes a long way here, but I wish the power brick didn't have such a bright LED on it.

I have a small studio in my basement for live singing which I periodically will broadcast via Facebook Live. I own 2 Canon dSLR camera's and a Fuji X100F. I did not want to invest any further in go-pro' and any other solution as I already had cameras that could be used for video. I needed a continuous power solution for these and gave the Gonine a try. I have to say, i was very impressed and this solution worked out perfectly. The unit came in, packed far better than i would have suspected and performed for 2 , several hour segments.

I do product reviews on YouTube so I do the great majority of filming on my Fujifilm X-S10. I used to get several hours of recording time with my NP-W126S batteries, but they're all slowly dying and don't last as long. So a dummy battery was the best solution. Now the first one I received, one of the prongs was bent (see pic). I reached out to the seller and they sent me a new one immediately. It came yesterday and thankfully there were no bent prongs. It installed just fine, although the fit isn't as snug as with a proper battery. It's about a millimeter shorter and a millimeter slimmer than an original Fujifilm NP-W126S. But as you can see in the short clip, it works perfectly with my X-S10! Thanks to Gonine for sending a replacement asap. Now I can record my reviews without swapping batteries all the time. I couldn't find a dummy battery which had decent reviews and I would be sure would work. This one truly does the job. Absolutely no problem at all installing and using it. Remember to have this installed before you turn on the camera and it works just as intended. Truly amazing product.

The adapter has been working for me for a couple of months now for live streaming with my Fuji X-T3. The adapter didn't quite fit at first. It needed an extra millimetre to connect and stay inside the battery slot. I ended up cutting two small piece strips from a plastic food container lid and taping them to the adapter (picture attached). It has worked well since and fits nice and snugly. Otherwise, it works well, and I enjoy the length of the cord.

Works like a charm. Been using one of my Fuji cameras as a webcam for video conferences via an HDMI-to-USB dongle. Bought this to save my battery on longer meetings. Would recommend for anyone looking for uninterrupted battery power for their Fuji cameras.

The power adapter works but beware you need to keep the camera latch door closed, the dummy battery height seems to be 0.5-1mm too short.
