Quite Versatile and Sturdy with some comments
I would really rate at 3.5 stars.Haven't had too much opportunity to utilize tripod yet, but find the functionality will work well for my use and it is small enough to fit into my suitcase for travel. Seller sent out a follow-up email regarding some things to be cautious about when unscrewing the legs and other useful items. It is important to read them, although I am unsure why this information is not in the package. I do have some comments regarding some issues that could be overcome with better manufacturing process and shipping:1. The smell of the bag and equipment is similar to diesel fuel, which is like other items that I find come from China. Still don't understand why this happens, but the tripod bag, box, paper and all accessories will need to be sitting outdoors for a couple of weeks to off-gas. It stunk up my place bad!2. Other posters have commented about the grease that shows up on the tripod. The tripod did feel slightly greasy, as though it had grease on the metal and was whipped off. When unscrewing the one tripod leg, I found a "blob" of grease, similar to Vaseline. It's probably practical to wipe a thin film of lubricant on the threads, but a blob is a bit much. I can see where some units would be messy and require a good clean before using.3. There are no directions that I could find on the short extra tube for the unit.4. The extra threaded rod, to put the single leg together with the center post to make a monopod, is loose in a plastic bag. In design, it would have been nicer if the threaded rod could be continuously attached to the single leg, so when connecting to the center post, it would be just one step. Having to carry the extra threaded piece, which will inevitably get lost, will then render the monopod useless. They should send along extras, or if it can't be designed to be mounted with the leg, then they should have somewhere to mount this piece on the tripod to keep handy and not get lost.As noted, these are not insurmountable challenges, but would make the ratings better.

Excellent Tripod, Compact and rigid
I am a professional photographer and i owned multiple tripods before, last one i owned was Targus branded Tripod but it was not sturdy and falling down when i was shooting outdoor wiht little wind.We also shoot food videos for Youtube and it become very complicated to shoot the videos with our previous Tripod, I was doing research on tripods, found this double ball versatile tripod, immediately i ordered one.Quick Release: They claim it has quick release but it doesn't take but a few seconds to tighten the knob. Few twists and it's locked tight, it's not coming loose unless you want it to. I wiggled and moved the tripod trying to get it to come loose by itself and it doesn't.2 Ball Heads: you can conveniently twist the head at two different points, which gives you greater flexibility to shoot any type of conditions. In any placement the head holds tight and there's no slipping or drifting. You also don't need to tighten the head crazy tight to get a lock. The tripods have 3 twist-locks. you just have to twist the plastic holder to adjust the height and lock tight. The twist-locks on these works great, just takes a little twist to adjust than flip-locks.You can use these for Macro and low ground shooting too, just take the center pole out (unscrew the bottom plate that has the weight screw on it to remove the pole), and flip it around. With this tripod you can shoot cooking videos and food photos effortlessly and in a pro way. The weight hook at the bottom is spring loaded too, keeps it flush with the center pole until you pull it down to use it.I've attached various pics, so you get a good look at all the main parts.Overall: Very compact and little heavy weight tripod for professional photographers. I gave 4 ratings only for the weight of this tripod, other than that there is nothing wrong about the product or design.

Great tripod at a reasonable price
I mainly use the Manfrotto Be Free carbon version tripod for its versatility and ease of travel, but hen I began to shoot the night sky I needed something with a bit more weight. From a few astrophotography web sites I was directed to this Zomei as a solution. At $100-120 it is just what I needed. A little over 4 pounds, it is very sturdy and has the center post hook so you can hang your camera gear or a sand bag for even greater stability. I am very impressed with the worksmanship of this tripod. It allows a side mount, an "underneath" mount, and everything you need to get into any kind of position. I generally prefer tripods that have snaps on the legs rather than twisties for tightening (getting old here and my grip is not what it used to be) but these are easy to twist into a solid stance. It comes in a nice carrying case and Zomei provides a wrench that allows tightening, if needed. It looks good and is solid. I have had a Sony A7R3 with a heavier Benbo ball head attached to a star tracker, and it handled the entire assembly with ease. The included ball head can be removed if you want to use one of your own. In short, I highly recommend this solid tripod for any purpose. It's a great buy at this price.

Very tall and sturdy
I have a travel carbon fiber tripod and I love it but the problem is that it cannot hold my camera and 70 - 200 f2.8 without a little camera shake when I am taking a long exposure and I don't love the ball head on the top of it those are the main reasons I needed a new oneAnd this one completely fixes these problems and gives me even more firstly the ball head on this is the best one I have ever seen it is smooth and sturdy and easy to adjustAnd when I tested how sturdy it is I found that before you extend the middle (which is already as tall as my other tripod and most tripods) it is rock solid you won't get any shake no matter what you put in it and then the taller you make it the less steady it gets and when fully extended my big lens sometimes gets camera shake but I don't see myself needing that hight because it is much taller then meAlso I live the fact that it can extend sideways so I can get the really cool straight down shots much easier then I needed before but when you are doing this with a heavy setup make sure to hook some weight to the center of the tripod so it won't tip
