Cloudnola Station Metal Wall Clock, Black and White, 18 inch Diameter, Silent Non Ticking, Battery Operated Quartz Movement

I searched for weeks to find a replacement clock for my kitchen area. I didn't think it would be this difficult to find something I needed, but I'm so glad I found this clock. For some reason it just had the look I was going for. I love that it's a thick clock and so it stands off my wall. And you can see it from the living room or the kitchen

It has that big chunky train station/factory/school look but it's still appropriately sized for a living room. It's a relatively retro style, but I like the large Futura? numeral font which is a bit more modern and robust than many of the clock face fonts that are usually used. I personally wanted the look of these numerals rather than Roman numerals or without numerals at all, but that's personal preference. The quality of the clock body is fine (metal body, glass face), but I think it is on the expensive side for what it actually is - a printed circle of paper with the same generic clock mechanism as every other clock. There are no particular mounts on the clock, you just hang the lip of the clock body over a screw head, but nothing is really holding it in place in any other dimension. It seems a bit flimsy but I guess it's fine until there's an earthquake. I'd remove a half star for the price and poor mounting but since I like how it looks I'll still round up to 5.

I bought the clock five months ago and have had to replace the batteries three times in order to keep it working properly. I’m seeking a refund. I contacted Cloudnola, they sent a new clock no problem!

Perfect large numbers & well designed hands. Very quiet, no ticking at all. Bought the 18” and it looks fantastic in our kitchen. Can’t keep my eyes off the thing. Gives you that English train station look. If they made a 16” I would definitely get another one for our den. Well worth the $118 and frankly it looks a lot more expensive than that.

No hanging mounts , holding legs on inside are not square with the face (so you can’t use them to tie a hanging cord to). What?

Die Uhr sieht wirklich Klasse aus. Wirklich wie aus einem Bahnhof. Im Prinzip ist sie aber wie jede andere Analoguhr aufgebaut. Hinten befindet sich das Uhrwerk das mit einer AA Batterie betrieben wird und nicht größer oder stärker aussieht als bei einer normalen Küchenuhr. Vielleicht ist das auch der Grund warum man sehr dünne Uhrzeiger verwendet hat, die schon bei leichter Bewegung anfangen zu schwingen, quasi um das kleine Uhrwerk nicht zu überlasten. Schlimm ist das im Prinzip nicht, weil ja normalerweße keiner an der Uhr wackelt. Obwohl die Uhr schön groß ist, ist sie zugleich trotzdem einigermaßen leicht, da die uhr hinten komplett Hohl ist. Klar was soll da auch sonst sein. Leider gibt es auf der Rückseite noch nicht einmal eine Öse oder ähnliches zum Aufhängen bzw. Befestigen der Uhr. Das könnte man besser machen. Einzige Möglichkeit ist der umgegrämpelte Rand des Blechgehäuses, der zumindest verhindert das die Uhr sofort vom Nagel rutscht, was im Prinzip auch ausreicht. Aber mehr ist leider nicht. Fazit: ------ Schöne große und funktionale Uhr mit klarem Bahnhofsflair, aber mangehalften Befestigungsmöglichkeiten

The clock is a great size, and attractive from a distance, but we found it flimsy for the price paid. The clock hands where very thin, lightweight and loose, so when the clock arrived, we noticed that there were black scratches on the white face of the clock from where the hands had rubbed against the clock - probably in shipping. The hands where loose, so when trying to set the clock, it would slip about a half inch from left to right so then the time would be off by a few minutes. We will be returning it. Perhaps it was damanged in shipping, but even so, I think I'll look around for a sturdier clock and won't be reordering this one.

Ersteinmal muss ich sagen, dass die Wanduhr wirklich gut ausschaut. Ich habe die Schwarze Variante und auch wenn auf dem Produktfoto das Ziffernblatt weiß wirkt, so ist es doch eher Cremfarben, was mir persönlich deutlich besser gefällt, als ein reines weiß. Die Uhr wirkt einfach etwas edler mit dem dezenten Creme Farbton. Auch die Verarbeitung macht soweit einen ordentlichen EIndruck. Ein sauber lackierter Metallrahmen und eine kratzfreie Glasfront. Die Rückseite ist nicht verschlossen und so blickt man gleich auf das etwas zierlich und verloren wirkende Uhrwerk. EIne Aufhängung gibt es leider nicht, unverständlicherweise. Man hängt die Uhr einfach am Rahmen auf, was schon recht undurchdacht und auch unbemüht wirkt. Aber auch wenn nun die Uhr soweit recht schick ausschaut, so sehe ich keinen großen Unterschied zu anderen Wanduhren mit diesem Design und davon gibt es ja nicht wenige. Wir haben hier eine Standardwanduhr, ohne irgendwelche Besonderheiten. Der einzige große Unterschied zu ähnlichen Uhren anderer Hersteller ist, dass die Cloudnola das Doppelte und mehr kostet. Würde die Uhr nur die Hälfte kosten, hätte ich vielleicht noch 5 Sterne gegeben, doch ich kann mir nicht erklären, warum ein solches Standardmodell, ohne vernünftige Aufhängung, knapp 120 Euro kosten soll und von daher reicht es gerade mal für 3 Sterne.

Die Uhr kommt gut verpackt (ohne Montagematerial und Batterie) an. Schnell ist eine AA Batterie zur Hand und die Uhr kann betrieben werden. Es ist ein kleines Quarzwerk rückseitig zu sehen. Da fragt man sich, wie der stolze Preis von z. Z. 115€ gerechtfertigt ist. Eine Aufhänge Öse gibt es nicht. Nach Rücksprache mit dem Hersteller erhielt ich folgende Antwort. „Dieses Gehäuse ist aus massivem Stahl und soll am Rahmen aufgehängt werden. Es ist zu tief, um einen Aufhängemechanismus in der Mitte zu haben, die Schraube müsste sehr lang sein und sie müsste super tief in die Wand gesteckt werden. Zu viel Schaden an der Wand.“ Die Uhr sieht sehr gut aus, tickt nicht und die Zeiger laufen ruhig. Einen Sekundenzeiger gibt es leider nicht, aber das sollte ja vorher bekannt sein. Die Verarbeitung ist fehlerfrei. Die Lackierung sauber. Der Rahmen ist magnetisch. Den Preis sehe ich nicht als gerechtferigt, viel zu teuer und eine Aufhängeöse fehlt.
