Visually appealing, decently fun, not too difficult
This one looks good on the shelf. I was a bit let down by how straight forward it was, but some enjoy those ones. If I had been between this one and another one, I may have wished I got the other one, purely for a bigger challenge. Again, not a bad puzzle.

First experience with a Hanayama puzzle, it's a winner!
I've seen multiple cast-puzzles before, but had never really gotten to try them. This one went on sale, and I'm glad I tried it. Build quality is top-notch. It would be very difficult to break the Twist this even if you tried. It's heavy and satisfying to manipulate. The puzzle is certainly a challenge. Like others have mentioned, this one isn't a quick solve that's easy to memorize. You get a feel for making progress and can identify some landmark positions to help you along, but this would take multiple solves to be able to do consistently. My first solve, I didn't realize how close I was until the pieces suddenly came apart in my hands, and then it took me even longer to put it back together to full reset. Took about 30-45 minutes each to solve and reset, and I would imagine it will take minimum 10-15 minutes to solve it again until I can get the hang of it better. Definitely takes focus, and it's a great manipulative! I actually bought it more as a fidget for my office, but quickly realized that it takes much more attention if you actually want to solve it. Still satisfying to twist around though! With puzzle difficulty ranging from 1-6, I would imagine that level 4 is fitting, as it was a challenge for me (30 y/o), but not impossible or overly frustrating. Very enjoyable!

Good puzzle, great quality.
This puzzle is fun! It is smaller than I envisioned from the picture, but it is certainly a bit more challenging than your normal puzzle. Hanayama ranks their puzzled from a 1 (easy) to a 6 (hard) and this is ranked as a 4. It fits that ranking.I normally can solve puzzles pretty quickly, but this one took me a little while and the first time I did get it solved, I didn't know how I did it? Then you have to put it back together, and that is just as challenging. What I like is that this isn't a puzzle you solve once, and then you know forever how like some of them. This one you can solve multiple times before you really understand it. There are a lot of opportunities to get close to the solution, and still not get it.For the puzzle lover in your family, this is a good choice. I wouldn't suggest it to really small kids, but anyone over the age of about 9 can have fun with it if they're patient.

Confusing twists in plain sight.
The difficulty in this puzzle is keeping your frame of reference as the two pieces twist around each other, which makes solving and re-assembling very satisfying. Like all Hanayama puzzles no solution is provided, just a vague hint. There are you-tube videos available with solutions if you really need it, but I think it's much more fun to figure out the mechanisms yourself. Although the moving pieces can be dis-orienting, the mechanics at play can be seen in plain sight. I like this, some puzzles that have a hidden piece or feature feel a bit gimmicky once you discover the trick and solve it. This elegance gives the puzzle more re-useability in my opinion. I would say this puzzle should be a level 4 or 5 as I find it harder than higher level puzzles such as (square or spiral).

GREAT PRODUCT ! ! ! ! YOU WON'T STOP WITH JUST ONE ! ! ! !
This is an extremely well made, beautifully done puzzle. Congratulations. Perfectly done from top to bottom. You won't be disappointed. Design, price, material, packaging. All first class. Makes a great keepsake. I was so impressed, I bought several and gave them as gifts. So many are so cute and challenging I had to buy them for myself too. I have a collection now and will repeat this review for all of them. They are just fabulous for busy hands and curious minds. Put them on your desk and coffee table. People can't help but pick them up. They look like they'll last for ever. Again, you will not be disappointed with this product. My bet, you will end up buying more than one ! ! ! !

One of my favorites so far
I was recently gifted a couple of Hanayama puzzles and loved them!I bought a few more afterwards and this (twist) is my favorite of the bunch! It looks and feels great. The movements are very satisfying too!Difficulty wise, I definitely struggled more with a level 2 and a couple level 3's but I suppose that the difficulty is a relative concept.

Good replay value!
I've had this for a while and I've successfully taken it apart and put it back together many times...I just am not really sure how! I fiddle with it for a while, get it half way apart, then messing with it more, I end up putting it back to the starting position! This is NOT one of those puzzles that you will be able to take it apart and put it back together in seconds unless you really understand it completely, and after successfully solving it and re-assembling it, I still am not entirely sure how it's done. Maybe I'm just slow....Anyway, it's a durable, attractive puzzle that you will enjoy for a long time.

Great Puzzle
Hanayama puzzles are always of quality and smart puzzle design. This one is no different. For some reason though when I got the package it was destroyed and looked like someone tried solving it and gave up and didn't know how to repackage it. There was a bright orange sticker on it that said "Amazon Tested" This is the first time I've seen something like this from Amazon...
