Talens Art Creation Sketchbook - Golden Yellow - 9 x 14 cm - 140 g - 80 Sheets - Acid-Free Drawing Paper

Having used a range of sketchbooks over the years, some of which never get much beyond the first couple of pages, this is the best I've had for carrying around and general use. Smooth paper, perfect for the super fine ballpoint I like to use but thick enough to take light watercolor washes if required. All the pages open flat, and it's well made too, it feels like it will survive bumping around in a bag. I used moleskine before..lovely but expensive and you feel like you have to be perfect using them. With this pad I don't mind doing daft things and wasting paper, or gluing things in. It's a really lovely little book, and the square 12x12 size is a refreshing change too. I will be getting more!

Nice colour, nice paper (smooth, not granular)

There's loads I like about this book so for convenience I'll list them: It opens flat, allowing for double page spreads. The paper doesn't get damaged by pencil strokes easily. The paper puts up with erasing very well. The paper takes fineliner ink nicely. Doesn't bleed, even with significant blocking in. It's proper cute. Especially if like me you've come from large paper. There are a couple of things you may like to know, but don't necessarily mean it's good or bad: The paper isn't pure white, but a creamy hue. I'd say it's doubtful the paper could put up with anything more than the slightest wash. Alcohol markers will 100% bleed through, so use a protector if you want the release your copics in it. It's not quite true A6, but a mite bit smaller. There is nothing I dislike about this sketchbook. We'll worth every penny.

This is a good sketchbook although I wouldn't recommend it for watercolours. The paper is strong but warps a lot when watercolour is added, which is fair considering the weight of the paper. Lovely size for travelling and the cover colours really are gorgeous in person.

I love these sketchbooks, the paper appears the same as the other famous brand that has elastic yet it's only a fraction of the price. I have several now, I can't seem to find anything bigger than this till you get to A4 size and I'd love something bigger. This one fits in a handbag great though, and with the elastic band stays shut so it keeps the paper fresh and clean. Excellent.

This was my 3rd purchase of this sketchbook and I absolutely love it! It’s perfect for pencils and watercolour but also has paper thick enough for mixed media, I also really like the off white colour of the paper as I find it a lot easier to draw on. Ive brought it in A5 multiple times so it’s a perfect size for travel.

I love these! Great size, great color. Paper holds up well to dry media and gouache. Some markers cause a lot of piling. Watercolor will work but be prepared for lots of buckling. Tons of pages, great value.
