Great Expansion for Those Who Like the Base Game
This expansion provides a great update to the Dune boardgame. If you enjoy Dune, then this expansion is for you. While there are issues with Dune such as the complicated rules for advanced play, and it's brutal old school philosophy that may make the game a pointless drag if you get unlucky at the beginning, those are issues with the base game. So, if you are buying the expansion, that probably means you are OK with the general flaws.As a huge Dune nerd, I love having more factions, and the mechanics are well in line with the lore.If you are looking for more variations on the theme, get this expansion. If you are looking for an expansion that fixes some of the issues, this is not the expansion for you. For a similar game with much more streamlined play, check out Rex Imperium if you can find a copy.
