If you can use an umbrella, you can easily use this. The window shields that you have to twist make me nuts because I can NEVER get those back in the original folded shape. You don't have to with this. It works just like an umbrella except it's flat when opened against your windshield & fits corner to corner. Velcro the little tab that helps it fit behind the mirror, adjust the shield if needed & you're done. All quick & easy. It's a great size, keeps my car cool, and hopefully will last thru the season. LITTLE BIT OF AN UPDATE: The spines of the "umbrella" part are a little flimsy.

I honestly didn’t expect to love this as much as I do, but this 2026 Windshield Sun Shade Umbrella is a game changer. Living in Florida, my car turns into an oven, especially during mid-day errands. Since using this, the difference in temperature when I get back in is noticeable right away. I love the umbrella-style design. it’s so much easier than wrestling with those traditional fold-up shades. It opens and closes in seconds, and I can tuck it right into the door pocket when I’m not using it. The foldable design makes it super convenient and not bulky at all. It fits my windshield really well and covers edge to edge. The material feels sturdy and high quality, not flimsy. I’ve also noticed my dashboard and steering wheel aren’t burning hot anymore, which gives me peace of mind about protecting the interior long-term. If you live somewhere sunny or park outside a lot, this is absolutely worth it. Practical, easy to use, and actually effective. Highly recommend!

This fits in the window of my Ford escape perfectly. I love that I can retract it like an umbrella for easy storage. I would recommend this one. Update: I loved this product, but in less than a year of ownership, it has broken and no longer is serving its purpose. It should’ve lasted longer than just shy of a year. The handle broke right off the center top. Second update: I really like the concept of this kind of windshield blocker from all the heat and sun in Florida. And this one notably made the temperature inside of my car much cooler. I could at least put my hands on the steering wheel without burning my hands. So it does what it says. I ordered a different one from a different company after my first one broke and it does not block the heat from the sun and my steering wheel is scorching hot. So I have now re-ordered a second one of these because I can’t find any others that are retractable and are going to truly block the heat from the sun. I will give a third review at a later date. Maybe this next one will last longer than a year.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t fit my 2020 Kia Soul S, despite it saying it fits. It’s too big and flimsy. I found it difficult lock into place once in the window. It’s not worth sending back so I will give it to my friend who has a truck. My other friend bought this style of shade and it was so easy to use and was firm in all corners. I will be asking where she order we hers from. This one does come with a nice cover and it was easy to put back in the cover.

This works great in my F350. It covers the entire windshield great size fits well easy to fold and unfold.

It's a good product. It took a few times to learn exactly how to use it. It does seem quite thin so unsure how long it will last. It stays up great and folds up nicely, too. Would buy again.

I bought the recommended size for my 2020 Ford Escape, and it does technically fit the windshield. One of the biggest reasons I chose this sunshade was how compact it is when collapsed. Taking it down is quick and easy enough for the most part. It’s a little clunky but not too bad, and it stays neatly contained and easily tucks away in my side door storage. My previous sunshade was a pain to put away and had a habit of smacking both me and any passenger in the face while folding it, so this design is a huge improvement in the putting away functionality. Unfortunately, putting it up has been much more difficult than I expected. I’m not sure if it’s because of the Escape’s windshield design and the limited space between the glass and the infotainment screen, but it’s awkward to position correctly. Some of the support spokes also stick out instead of staying tucked into place, which makes it even more frustrating to use. I’ve put them back in their respective spots but they come back out with each use. I also use a car mount, which I’ve had to lower to the lowest height to be able to put the shield up at all. I’ve tried fully removing it to see if that was the issue for putting it up and it helped slightly but was still not as easy as I hoped. I really like the concept and the compact design, but the day-to-day functionality hasn’t lived up to my expectations. I still prefer it over my previous shield but I am disappointed. If ease of setup is your top priority, your experience may vary depending on your vehicle.
