Extremely well built harness but maybe a bit hard to get on
Finding the perfect harness has always been a challenge. Some are hard to get on, some don't seem particularly comfortable, and some just seem poorly constructed.First off, the build quality of the Ruffwear harness is exceptional. I am confident that the clips will hold up to our large (29-kilo) labradoodle's most spirited pulling. There are some great features like a stash pocket for his ID or a spare poop bag, and a front loop as an additional contact point for a lead. The harness is designed with the dog's comfort in mind. The padding is plush yet lightweight, and the four points of adjustability ensure that my dog can wear it for extended periods. The only drawback here is there is a lot of fabric in contact with his fur, which for his breed can result in matting with extended use.The front and back leash attachment points are ideal for training or for dogs that tend to pull. I've noticed a significant improvement in leash manners since we started using this harness. The only drawback to this harness is that you must pull it over their head, which my dog does not seem to like very much. I don't want to create any negative associations with walk-time, so I try to give extra cuddles and treats when I put the harness on or off. Not a deal-breaker, but certainly a considerationIn summary, the Ruffwear Front Range Dog Harness is a great product that balances comfort, durability, and functionality. For me, the build quality is worth it.

We will both be getting more out of our walks now
My little pup heels pretty well for the first half of the walk but pulls once he knows we are going home. Despite his size he is really strong so we both end up frustrated and me with a sore hand from the lead being wrapped around it.Additionally, I was worried he wasn't getting enough walk time but due to him being a pup, I didn't want to over walk him either. I felt the training time of trying to make him heel or go steady could be skewing how long we were walking for and I was right!I took him out last night and zero pulling. This morning he started to pull towards the end but there is no power behind it and so I am able to loosely hold the lead rather than have it wrapped about my hand.He pulls a little and this turns him ever so slightly, which he corrects and I reward him. The very last few minutes of the walk he pulled more but again, at no discomfort to myself or him.I increased the walk we normally do and whereas the shorter walk normally takes us 50 minutes, the longer walk only took us 45. So we will be getting more out of our walks now from a time and enjoyment perspective.Harness looks comfortable, although a little big. I measured my pup at 14 inches around the neck and 20 around the body. I bought the xs and its still a tiny bit big. I would expect this would still fit him when he is fully grown.Beautifully made and good quality. I am glad I paid the extra for this harness over some of the comparible cheaper ones. Pup seems happy wearing it too.Would have got all round 5 stars but, due to it being a bit too big, it twists a little more than I imagine it would once its a little tighter. Please note I have this on the tightest setting on his neck.Came with good instructions on how to loosen and tighten. My pup is a 11kg cocker spaniel pup. The green looks amazing against his red coat.

Incredible service & fantastic product
This is our second Ruffhead harness we have bought. Our first one is still in perfect condition after 4 years of constant wear. I love the attractive colours, pleasing design and reflective edgings.Their delivery speed is totally amazing too whether bought from Amazon or on their website. The harness is strong and comfortable to wear and keeps our flighty doggie safe. Thank you RuffWear.

Excellent harness for a dog that pulls
Bought this for my Labrador cross puppy. He’s 8 months old and was pulling too much on a normal collar. He’s 23 kg and bought the medium size which fits him well. This has been a real game changer from the first time I used it. I bought a Halti double ended lead so as to use both the clip on the top and also the one on the front. My dog immediately pulled a lot less and is far less out of breath and in a less excitable state when he’s out. My dog is also without me trying much looking to walk closer and to heel. All told I’m very surprised at the change and also very pleased by how much easier walking him has been. While it’s still early days using this, it is well worth it so far and while my dog isn’t perfect yet he’s made a big step very quickly in the right directionThe harness itself seems well made and fits comfortably on the dog. Reasonably easy to adjust. The dog has had to get used to having it put on and off as it has to go over his head but seems to be getting over any initial reluctance with a bit of positive coaxingWould recommend for a dog that pulls on a normal collar but best used with a double ended lead so that both clips can be used. The front one is used to give a quick tug to pull to one side to get control. There are lots of videos online to show how to train using a harness with top and front clips and a double ended lead

Very good but not quite 5*
Quality appears good and is a perfect fit. The only negative I have is that the retaining fasteners are not easy to use, they need to be more exposed for easy access.

Durable, washable and distributes pressure properly
I have three of these for my Chow, in different colours. The orange is a lovely burnt shade and he had this when he was smaller. The blue is a deep teal. Our most recent purchase, the red is my favourite so far. The quality of these harnesses is fantastic. For anyone wondering if they are worth the price, they are. I wouldn't buy any other type of harness now.

Sturdy and beautiful
I got the clay red in small for my slim/muscular, long-legged collie, who weighs around 14kg. It is just right, with a little room left inside the straps. It is secure, which is why I bought it. He had escaped easily from a previous light harness. The red looks gorgeous against his glossy black coat, with a matching lead.

Nice harness
Bought for my 7kg Tibetan spaniel in XS as per size chart. It’s a great fit and easy on and off. Love the colour and hidden pocket for tags. There’s 2 clip points and feels quite secure around my dog. Price compares to vendor except free S&H from Amazon.

Durable and easy to adjust
I bought this product for my husky/shepherd puppy and it was a great purchase. I ordered the large/XL when she was about 15kg when her girth measured at the low end of the large measurement (she was quite a broad chested dog). It was easy to adjust and she grew into it nicely. It is a durable and trustworthy harness.

I love my Ruffwear gear
These harnesses are my absolute favourite. I have one for each of my dogs and recommend them often to clients. They are fairly adjustable, so fit lots of different breed dogs and the padding is soft so doesn’t cause chaffing. I love that they have a front clip as well as a back clip and they do not restrict shoulder movement. Will probably end up buying more in different colours 😂

Excellent quality of material, clasps and fit.
I've been using these harnesses for 8 years on my dogs. I just got a new one for my 8 month puppy. I ordered the wrong size, there was no problem returning it and getting the proper size. Not only is the quality excellent, the harness fits across the chest, so no pressure on the dog's neck.

High quality product from Ruffwear
These are not chew proof! Had to buy a second one after my doxie gnawed through almost ever strap on her first harness.Otherwise, it's a great harness, fits her well and looks great.
