I am one of those people who searches the far reaches of Amazon in search of the perfect product for me. I read every review I can—good or bad, and I try to come a conclusion on what I should purchases. In searching for a Boonie hat, I did not want a hat could double as a beach blanket or shelter a small village under it’s s canopy. I wanted a hat that gave me good shelter from the sun and could button up on the sides, if need be. As far as rain protection goes, my experience is that most boonie hats are worn in extremely warm weather and any rain that falls will be redirected by the hat, which suits me just fine. This hat is by far the best style of boonie hat I have ever worn. The combination of style, fit, and materials make it almost perfect. The only minor draw back I see is that does not have anything to adjust the fit, like most of these hats do, if it is to big for your head. For the record, I have a pretty big head, and it fits me snuggly. And this review comes without me having worn it in the tropics, which I will be doing shortly. But based on my at home assessment, I think it will be just fine.

My job is testing and reviewing gear on Ultimate Survival Tips - YouTube (just search Google) and after nearly two years this hat surprizingly has a pattern so close to my DLP A-TACs FG camo that there was no need to purchase another boonie! It breaths well (due to metal vent holes), has a chin strap, sheds water and has snaps on the side to keep one or both sides up. This hat is NOT adjustable, but I was happy to find that it fits my smaller head perfectly. So if your beany tends toward the medium / large size this is NOT the hat for you. But if you want a great hat for the price with THE best woodland camo pattern IMO - this lid may be the one for you!

Hat is well made, sturdy and gives good sun protection. It does run small. I wear 7 5/8 inch hat. This hat is supposed to be 7 1/2 inch. Smaller very tight fit. I am hoping for stretch in time. Based on this information I would recommend a buy.

Great hat! Fits great, looks great, feels great. The size is sort of medium, kind of big for me but it hangs on my head and stay's put. I've already had two people ask where I got the hat and how much I paid. The guy's who asked must have thought the hat was worth more than I said because they didn't believe at first. My other hats like this have all been hot after awhile, but not this one. I've looked and found a couple of vents but the air gets under somehow and it wear's very well! Glad I found this hat, I think I'm gonna get a couple more because when you find a winner you stick with it.

No sunburned ears or neck with this Boonie Hat. It's different enough to help you make a positive statement who you are at the same time it's keeping the rain from dripping down the back of your neck and getting your glasses so wet you can't see through them. I don't know why I waited so long to buy mine.

I purchased this for my husband as he is in the Texas sun most of the day. It works great and he actually traded in his ball caps for this hat, none us were sure he would. It even makes him look like a military bada$$, which is totally sexy.

Good matetial nicely build. But a bit too karge for my small head. It needs some tailoring to fit.It aldo needs an addition inside cotton material as a circle like baseball hats have to absorb sweat. That would also narroe it s bit and could fit even my head.

Love my jungle warfare hat. I wear it when I’m doing yard work.
