T Tinxy Device Smart Switch 16A for AC/Geyser. Compatible with Alexa and Google Home Yellow

I recently installed the Tinxy 1 Node 16amp smart switch and I'm thoroughly impressed! It's a fantastic addition to my smart home setup. Here's what I loved: Easy Integration: Setting up the switch was a breeze. It integrated seamlessly with my existing Wi-Fi network and the app was incredibly user-friendly. Top-Notch App: The Tinxy app is well-designed and intuitive. Controlling the switch remotely and scheduling on/off times was a snap. Tech Support Wins: I had a minor question during installation and Tinxy's tech support was fantastic. They were responsive, helpful, and quickly resolved my query. Powerful Performance: The 16amp rating gives me peace of mind knowing I can control even high-powered appliances like air conditioners securely. Overall, I absolutely loved the Tinxy 1 Node 16amp smart switch. It's a reliable, well-designed product with excellent app and tech support. Product is very good if we are using it for schedule power on or off like geyser, fridge, heater or any appliance. It works fine remotely or can schedule Power on/off as per requirement.

I could write a lot about the poor design but I'll be brief: [(a) no means of securing it to anything, no means to screw it in place, had to cable-tie it.(b) Open terminals, which meant I had to secure it in a box to ensure it was safe....I could go on]. The 16A, 1 node switch was connected to a load (compound security lights) of 320W, ie, less than 2A. The system was set to switch on a daily basis, so, once a day it was to switch the load on in the evening and then off the next morning. The switch was disconnecting from the wifi on a daily basis and required resetting every single day (same wifi hub was used for cameras without any issue). Not annoying enough, after about 10 days of this daily headache, it stopped functioning and switching on the lights. Tested it and found there was no output. The company asked me to return the switch for repair, took over a week to pick it up and then almost a month to return it. Meantime, fitted another product for the security lights. When I finally tried to use the "repaired" switch it did not work at all. In my opinion, the switch was a complete waste of both, my money as well as my time.

Wrriting review after 2 weeks. Exactly what I needed. Now my mom doesn't need to wake up at 5am to turn on the pump for mcd water. I can't comment on value as I don't buy automation switches that often. It is fast enough to turn on power supply from app as well as google home integration. Auto scheduler is also working as expected. Although I would not advise to install it on your own, Instructions were simple enough. If Instructions are not readable or lost(in my case), tutorial videos are also great. Apparently its much more difficult to get your parents use google home commands 😂

Reset switch leaks current...got shocked many times whiles pressing reset switch..and it's in full voltage ⚡... manufacturer should take a look...other product is value for money

The product is performing exactly as projected in the details and is working fine. Apart from the above 15 amp switch, I also have another 6 node switch which is also working fine. The support from the customer tech support for installation and operations was also prompt and correct. This helped us a lot. The time scheduling and wifi alexa control is without any fault. The size of the switch pcb is very compact but sturdy and has fit inside the box below the geyser plug point. I recommend every one to buy the product.

I bought couple of 16amp devices for use with Air conditioner and Hot water geyser. I flashed the device with Tasmota which was not easy as there is built in chip that keeps turning the device on and off with stock Tasmota and even after you configure Tasmota properly as soon as you connect switch port to 220v the device starts flickering. So it is not compatible with Tasmota unless you are into heavy modding and know how to de-solder and solder to bypass the built-in watch guard chip! One of the devices running Tasmota failed after a month as it stopped connecting to the wifi network, I am not sure why that happened but It is my guess that it was overheating underneath the Shrinktube and as a result the ESP8266 chip inside lost its WiFi radio function or the device had shady quality,ESP8266, chip to begin with. EDIT:03SEP2024 I am changing my rating to 5 stars because I have been using multiple 16-A switches (Extremely modified to run Tasmota) for over a year now. These switches have been running solid so far switching a heavy-duty 25 Litre water Geyser, a 2-Ton split air conditioner and Two-1.5 ton split air conditioners. EDIT:08/SEP/2024: Ordered 3 More of these 16A devices. Latest model is slightly different from previous model. Now this device uses transformer-less design, so the size is somewhat better when trying to fit in small, cramped gang boxes. It is easier to flash the onboard ESP8266 with Tasmota as all the required pins are easily accessible without having to remove insulating cover. Much more DIY friendly device.
