Classic Cat Food, Mideast Feast with Grilled Tilapia in Gravy, 5.5oz Can (Pack of 24)

As my subject line states, when doing a review on any brand of pet food, that review becomes totally subjective - as it applies to your pets only. With that in mind, we have 4 indoor (formerly feral) cats that we adopted over the past few years, along with taking care of 5 additional outdoor feral cats who call our patio "home." Our indoor cats have become prima-donnas (3 female and one male) with regard to what they enjoy eating. I've spent - without exaggeration - hundreds of dollars (close to $1500) over the past few years, trying to find a food that they all would enjoy. Purchase after purchase would result in their either just smelling the food and then walking away, or they'd take a bite or two and then just ignore the food after that (depressing really). More than a year ago I finally found a brand and type of food they loved and devoured - it happened to be the canned tuna and crab and the tuna and shrimp from the Applaws and Reveal (same company) brands. However, like anything else with a pet, they were slowly getting tired of eating the same thing, and now I was back in a frantic "find another flavor" phase - sigh. I became intrigued with the Weruva brand of canned cat food, yet at the same time wondered like they literally had dozens of flavors and varieties - all with fancy storybook names on the cans. So I began trying them, and unfortunately, all of my cats thrust their noses in the air and ignored most of the Weruva flavors - that is until I fed them this Mideast Feast! Finally, a Weruva flavor my cats all loved - so I ordered a few cases of it (even though it can add up pricewise). So now I alternate my feeding them food from Applaws/Reveal and the Mideast Feast from Weruva, and it's worked out really well. So in my case, I've surprisingly found a winner - but like anything else, your mileage may vary with your picky eaters. Thus I'm giving this Mideast Feast flavor the full 5 stars.

Good ingredients and just about all of my many cats like it

I am a cat lover and you are too probably. Professionally, I'm an economist and even I got confused about the "good cat food model" and trying to discern what's actually in the food I feed my little friends was hard to say the least. Basically, cats need protein, fat, minerals and vitamins, and just a little bit of veggies for a little fiber. I give my cats an always-full bowl of grain-free dry food, supplemented with a daily 3oz can of premium wet food. I was using Fancy Feast, until I actually read the ingredients one day (I had *assumed* it was good food). So I tried switching and my cat hates "pâté" type food. He likes chunks and sauce and gravy'ish type consistency. This Weruva Mideast Feast is BOTH something he loves, AND it is very good for him. The food looks edible. Real hunks of fish in it. Smells healthy and looks appealing (if I was a cat). IT's only been two days of use, but I do note his stools are smaller, of better consistency, and better smelling. Now here is the BIG bonus. Weruva "Mideast Feast" RIGHT NOW on Amazon is priced about the same price as the grainful "Fancy Feast I was serving, and is about half the price as Weruba's other flavor offerings. I just ordered two more cases of 3oz cans just it case the low price was a database error. I'm a new fan of Weruba.

The product is good. My cats love this brand. However, the Amazon packaging of this product is sloppy and just thrown into a box. One 24 count container was completely busted open when I opened the delivery. Needless to say, many of the cans were dented. I don’t like using dented cans because I think there is a possibility that there could be a leak and therefore the food could be spoiled making my cats sick. In my case, 17% of the cans were dented. Just be aware this is likely to happen if you purchase this canned cat food.

We all know that cats have their own opinions about what tastes good. All I can say is that my cat adores this fish dinner. He’s older, and I have to put it through a food processor for him now, but he’s really happy to eat it.

I use multiple brands and types of cat food because they like the variety. This one is a little juicy “. With that being said, there are tiny and big chunks of fish. It smells good, it’s clearly quality product, and the cats love it. They have a difficult time with the larger trunks for some reason, so I break them up into smaller pieces prior to giving it to them.

Used to be great when it was pure tilapia; now it is mostly mackeral which cats are not crazy about. Also, I can often buy mackeral and/or tilapia intended for human consumption cheaper. Buy it occasionally as one cat still likes it.

Have a 4 month old kitten that is the pickiest creature I ever met. Dude is all skin and bone (and fur) because he straight up refuses to eat. I've tried Zeal, Ziwi, Orijen, Smalls, Purina, Mittens, Tiki, Hills aka poison, etc etc and he would eat a bite and walk away. This stuff? HE FLIPPIN' EATS IT! Thank, God
