Bought as a cute gift for a group of physicists. They enjoyed but could not use for intended task because they are not flexible

Just what I wanted
Just like the picture shows - only drawback is that metric and American are printed reverse to each other - so you cannot just read across the ruler to make the conversion. That is, Zero for each is on the opposite end. If you want to see what 5CM is in inches, for example, you have to mark on something, then flip the ruler around and read it again.Sadly, it seems this is "Industry Standard Practice" - I have yet to find a ruler that isn't set up this way. Using a calculator will save tine and trouble.(1 in - 2.54 cm: 5 cm = 1. 96850394 inches, or just barely under 1 and 31/32 inches)
