Orbic Journey V Verizon Prepaid 4g LTE Flip Phone - Black

I bought this phone for my mom who is 96 and visually impaired. This is what she was used to and only wanted to make and receive calls. I know it does other things as well, but she doesn't see well to text, surf the net or take pics. She only wants to make/receive calls and it's perfect. I'm writing this review mainly because the speed dial is a little difficult to setup, but easier to operate than the last flip phone she had with T-Mobil but is extremely important for her because she has low vision and needs it. What I found is once you setup the speed dial, then all you have to do to use it is open the phone and hold down the # of the person you are calling and the phone connects the call! This is huge for someone with low vision. My mom has her 9 callers memorized as to their speed dial # so all she has to do is open her phone and hold down the corresponding number to call them. It's easier than the phone she had with T Mobile that looked exactly like this one. She loves it and is very happy with it. I had to take it to Verizon to learn how to use the Speed Dial. I couldn't understand the directions. Verizon helped me with it and confirmed I had it set up correctly. I hope this helps others considering this phone.

So sad that the reliable versions of flip phones are gone. Purchased 3 devices for grandparents when they had to ditch their 3g phones: battery life is Terrible not even 1 day of charge and that is without usage of phone (ok maybe 1 or 2 five minute calls only) Volume keys can be adjusted when phone is closed so sensitive that even in your pocket ringer gets turned off (even at full volume very hard to hear any ringer choice from a pocket) and the speaker is worse than awful! It is sad that in this present world of technology any decent flip phones are just as expensive as smart phones, should have paid the extra arm and leg or signed up for contract service. DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR ELDERLY, HARD OF HEARING! only if you can't afford more

literally randomly stopped working one day for no reason. it wasn't even close to being dead, it will still charge but will not turn on whatsoever. it had been working perfectly fine for about 2 weeks before this happened. so the quality is not very good. don't get this is if you plan to actually use it as a form of communication, it may not last long at all

You get what you pay for, hard to press keys.Very basic features.

Great product; it works well with my Verizon post-paid sim card.

I love this new phone. It's easy to use,. Instructions don't include everything. Some you have to figure out on your own like how to delete older messages and phone calls but it's a pleasure to use.
