Great jacket, but it has long sleeves that you need to taper with the the velcro fasteners attached at the end of the arms. Unfortunately the velcro fastener on one side started to come away from the jacket on day 1! As an expensive jacket I am really disappointed at the flimsy stitch holding it in place. I haven't been rough with it at any point and after I realised it had lost a stitch I obviously became insanely careful with it. This didn't matter of course and every day a little bit more of it came away until I had to sew it back together myself. I'm not sure if the stitch will hold as the fastener itself is flimsy, but either way I shouldn't be having to repair a month old jacket in the first place.Aside from that the waterproofing has been great, as has the wind proofing. The jacket is breathable and I am happy with it overall, but that stitching is a major concern as the jacket is useless without it, if that fastener permanently breaks then the right sleeve will hang over the end of my hands like Marty Mcfly's jacket in back to the future 2!

I bought this as a birthday present for my brother to replace another Altura jacket which has been ideal but a bit worn after many years of use. He sent a photo taken cycling in a heavy downpour when he reported it was 100% waterproof. He loves the roomy pockets, reachable and audible outer breast pocket for phone SatNav. The high collar and back length adds good protection for the neck and back. Light and cool, space to warm up with jumper or fleece underneath with large size. If more colour choices would have given it 5 stars.

Price was amazing £21.50 , went for black XL as price was much lower than other colours mainly ride off road anyhow so don't need to look like a bright lemon , with lights and all the reflective patches don't think the colour matters the price did though. Well made bit of kit as you'd expect , usefull pockets where you'd want them , same goes with drawstrings. Fit is snug went for an XL is a good fit not baggy so won't catch the wind , I'm 6ft 100kg broad shoulders bloke , if I'd bought it just after Xmas it'd be too small so will help with the diet efforts if I want to keep using it! Long sleeve top underneath is fine a jumper , if you wear one when riding would be tight. So if you are boarderline on sizes I'd go up one. Cheapest price anywhere at time of purchase including eBay secondhand well chuffed.

Not sure if this is counterfeit or Altura have cheaper out but it didn't take long for this to have problems. The velcro on the wrists wore out very, very quickly and the zip on the breast pocket has failed already.Otherwise it continues to protect well from wind and rain.

Bought as a gift but seems to be doing the job. It’s not warm but is windproof so it’s lightweight and waterproof and ideal for cycling although you do need other layers underneath in this weather. This is the second one of these jackets I’ve bought as over time the reflective material peels off, but other than that it is a decent jacket.

Well made jacket nice colours only negative thing is comes up small had too return for a larger size.

Second time I've bought one of these. Designs changed slightly over 6 years - but great high viz and defo waterproof.

We had to return this due to the weird sizing. The sleeves were far too long but the chest too small. We have other jackets of the same make but they are completely different
