It is very heavy and good quality. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Why did I wait so long to buy this? *by A***P on 30 October 2021* I had read about weighted blankets over a year ago and understood the theory: deep pressure inducing an oxytocin release. But I prevaricated in buying one. After all, it is expensive for a blanket, and what if it didn't work? But after getting a very generous gift voucher for my birthday I decided to take the plunge. I went for the 9kg because I'm not a small woman. And oh my merciful heavens, it is the best investment I've ever made. The blanket is soft and sits exactly on top of the bed, so it doesn't slide off in the middle of the night. A few nights it's been too warm under the blanket and duvet, but I've just slept on top of the duvet and under the blanket so it's no great inconvenience. I have never slept so well in my adult life! The pressure is so comforting, I'm falling asleep quickly instead of lying awake into the small hours. It feels like when you stayed at your nan's when you were a kid and slept tucked up under the heavy blankets; that feeling of being safe, warm and loved. If you are thinking of getting one I'd say go for it!
