Can this machine be used with 110v or 220v only?

They offer both a 110 and a 220 v make sure when u purchase order correct voltage.. Keep in mind a 220 v works much better and will work harder than a 110v . It's definitely worth putting a 220v line in ur garage rather than trying to just barely get by on 110v unit

can you buy longer tongs to increase depth ?

Absolutely yes. The rings are removable and can be changed out for other tongs. When using longer tongs, pay close attention to the alignment of the tips to get a quality spot weld.
