Much easier to read than the previous edition
The previous edition was basically written on a typewriter, and reading equations is very, very difficult. The newer edition uses modern typesetting techniques, and the equations are crisp and clear.A HUGE improvement!

This is a masterpiece by one of the greatest scientists of all time
This is a masterpiece by one of the greatest scientists of all time. It nicely explains how Hilbert space algebra sets the foundation of quantum mechanics. This 2nd edition also improves the typesetting significantly. But the price set by Princeton University Press is ridiculously high at ~$100. Considering von Neumann has passed away for more than half a century, this high price only reflects the greediness of academic publishers. Instead of being the disseminator of scientific knowledge, publishers like Princeton University Press monopolize the greatest intellectual achievements of humankind and play as barriers of their spread by making big profits from them. It's a shame.
